“Panoramic views, spacious and relaxing”

At 920 feet above sea level, you can see for more than 35 miles east towards Africa and south to Fuerteventura: the dunes of the Parque Natural de Corralejo clearly visible during the day and the twinkling lights of Corralejo at night.

Situated at the foot of the Montana de Guardilama, it is an easy walk from the villa to the La Geria vineyards, and the views from the ridge between the Guardilama and Tinasoria peaks are fantastic. Get your timing right and you will also get to see the local hang gliders and paragliders launching themselves off the side of Tinasoria.

Lanzarote has a lovely climate, but if you are visiting during the winter as we did, you will appreciate the indoor heated pool. We had daytime temperatures of 21-22 degrees centigrade, which is nice, but it wouldn't get me in an outdoor pool. The indoor pool area really makes the place a year round retreat.

With canary date palms, cactuses and other desert succulents planted in the garden, the property has a wonderful 'cared-for' feel about it. It is tasteful and discreet, and a great credit to Señor Fernández. We greatly enjoyed our visit and unreservedly recommend Case Hugo as a delightful place to visit.

“An idyllic place to stay”
Reviewed January 8, 2017 for a stay in January 2017

Our fantastic host José met us at the airport when we arrived in Lanzarote and brought us back to Casa Hugo where he showed us around. It's an amazing place and exactly as it looks on this site. Beautiful views of the sea, indoor heated pool, plenty of room for all 5 of us, everything you could possibly want or need. José was always on hand if we wanted to know anything and nothing was too much trouble. One of the best places we've ever stayed and we will certainly be back again. While in Lanzarote you should visit Bodegon Tapas Bar owned by the wonderful Italian lady, Vera. It's off the beaten track but well worth a visit for the best food and hospitality. Thanks for everything José!

“Will be going back again and again. Simply fantastic!”

As per all other reviewers Villa Casa Hugo is absolutely fantastic - as is Jose the owner! We rented a car and arrived at the villa having followed Jose within minutes of getting off of the plane - or so it seemed as the roads where wonderfully quiet. Jose showed us around and explained all features of the villa, pool area and location of the Eurospar; we had already exchanged numbers should we need to contact him for anything during our stay. Although it was dark when we arrived you could see the full panoramic view of the lights of PDC below so we where excited to see it the next morning. We were not disappointed ! Stunning! The villa is wonderfully equipped with "everything" you could need and more but have to say the best bit, for us, was definitely the indoor heated pool; we swam morning, noon and night - even Christmas night!!
We have already indicated to Jose we will be back and he was delighted. If you don't know the island make sure you get along to old town PDC and Puerto Calero Marina (both 5/10 mins drive), also Rubicon Marina (25 mins drive) and Costa Tequise (20 mins drive) - all our favourite places to visit any way! If you go enjoy!!!

“You just have to go here!”

Having read the previous reviews of this villa I expected something special - somewhere my wife and I could relax in comfort. We got all of that plus a lot more! The indoor swimming pool was pure luxury on the couple of inclement days we had whilst on the Island. BBQ area was simply the best. Excellent wi-fi and a fantastic choice of TV channels (including BBC1&2, ITV etc.) Master bedroom was huge with a first class en-suite. Endless hot water throughout the day. Well equipped kitchen - even had "posh" wine glasses! Good security around the villa, peaceful area. Macher & La Asamoda well located for Island exploration, but you'll need a car. The owner Jose is the perfect host. Nothing too much trouble for him - he even got in contact with us from Puerto Rico on his holidays!! The only problem I have with writing this review is that more people will go to Casa Hugo, leaving no room for my wife and I to re-visit... seriously though, try it - you'll enjoy!

“Casa Hugo - A wonderful weeks stay”
Reviewed October 8, 2016 for a stay in October 2016

What can you say, met at the airport by our host Jose, he then proceeded to lead us to the villa, some 15 mins from arrecife airport. We hired a car from cabrera medina and that couldn't have been easier. The villa is fabulous, set in the hills over looking Puerto del carmen the view is amazing. The villa has all you need for a wonderful stay, internet tv with loads of British channels for those who want to stay in touch. The pool area and 4 areas that get the sun through day for those who want to chill. The indoor pool is great for those cloudy moments, but the doors open to bring the outside in when it's hot. The island is easy to navigate around and traffic is light, making moving around easy by car. The islanders are very friendly our host was amazing and we had a wonderful time and would definitely recommend casa Hugo and Jose to those considering visiting Lanzarote.

“SIMPLY THE BEST”

All the previous reviews all giving 5 stars do not lie! From the very start it was perfect. Jose who had no need to meet us was at the airport waiting for us anyway. The only way to describe Jose is he is the perfect gentleman and host, reliable always there when you need him but yet not intrusive. 10 stars for Jose. The villa itself has everything you could ever want, the pool/games room is fantastic, toilet and shower, a fridge, football and table tennis tables and, of course the pool which is fabulous when lit up at night. The pool/games room is lockable in case you have younger children.
With a beautiful view to the sea, the mountain to the back and the peaceful tranquillity of he area make this villa the perfect place to chill out, recharge your batteries or venture to explore the wonders of the island. Plenty of restaurants within a 10/15 min drive of the villa.
Truthfully, mere words cannot do the villa nor its owner, Jose, justice - you have to visit and stay to really understand, you would certainly not be disappointed

Thank you Jose for a perfect holiday,
Ian, Val and Ashley.

“A lovely stay”
Reviewed June 4, 2016 for a stay in May 2016

I'll keep it brief. A wonderful villa, well located as a base to visit places of interest on the island. It is a quiet and relaxing location without being too far off the 'beaten track'
I would recommend this place to couples and families with children.
Jose was available to contact at any time and organised meet at airport for easy transition to villa.
Would most definitely stay again when we visit the island.
