We were exploring in car and came by La Boyera at lunch time. Lunch is served at the poolside, we could have also had a swim and some lounger time if we had wished. Our food was ok, Thai curry with plenty of peanut and coconut, nice sticky rice, the prawns were nice but pretty cold for a main warm dish. The menu warns of a wait and some people had arrived just before us, I think the do a table at a time.
It was a nice change from the blandish resort places that seemed the other alternative in the area and the building is nicely restored. The meals and soft drinks came to 12 euros a head, good value for a light lunch.

Hi My Name is Pamela im staying here on the island with friends and they suggested a meal out at this restaurant 'I LOVE THAI FOOD' firstly the restaurant is not really a restaurant but an up market cafe, no table clothes or table settings when we first arrive we waited to be seatted but was ignored by 4 members of staff who passed us on the way to the kitchen, when we was finally seated the order was finally taken we had white wine no ice bucket to keep it chilled? we are in Spain and its hot it need to be kept chilled, we ordered and waited almost an hour for our starters the another hour for our main WHAT A JOKE fast food was invented in asia this is not fast food and it was bloody cold. what a sad night would not recommend.

We arrived at 8.50pm for our 9pm table booking with friends who lived here in Menorca and was told that they did not have our reservation but after a short wait we were shown to a table that was unclean from departing guests and further waited another 10 minutes before drinks were offered by a surly waiter who ditched the white wine on the table with no bucket for chilling or any offer of a menu, however we did notice that the restaurant was very busy but again waited.

The owner returned with menus & expressed to our friends that our booking we made was for saturday and we were no shows from the night before in his diary, considering our friends work every night and have sundays off only then we definately would not have been there !!

After 15 minutes with menus the order was taken and we waited & waited for our Starters and eventually after 45 minutes they arrived by this time we were near 10.15pm and starving but can only say these were warm unappetising and the Spring Rolls were from Lidl and not Thai authentic by any means and after asking the surly waiter twice for dipping sauces was getting bored with the evening as it was hard work.

Once starters had been cleared we again waited a further 50 minutes for the main courses and by this time was past it as we had been there over 2 hours had a few nibbles of starters and can honestly say the Thai Green Curry was bland no spice ,luke warm & as for the Pad Thai Noodles which were of no flavour & lacking in chicken which was the main componenent.

People may say why did you not complain & express your situation but to be honest after the time of waiting to get the food we were just wanting to get out because we were so disapointed with La Boyera.

Firstly it calls itself a restaurant which in my eyes as the tables have no settings of any kind or no nibbles, olives or prawn crackers are offered plus drinks are not placed in wine coolers and it really should be called a Thai Cafe as the service levels are very low & prices are on par with restaurants but in all the Thai places around the world I have eaten I have never waited so long for a meal that seriously can be cooked in less than 10 minutes , I fully understand the restaurant was busy but the management need to look at service levels, food prepping & turning the situation around to make people come back & enjoy the cuisine.

We stayed for a week in a Villa at Binisfua, Minorca (COSMOS said the Villa was in Binibecca but that's another story). We used a hire car to get the restaurant originally - there were 6 of us , including our 5 and 7 year old grandchildren. They had a beautiful pool so that kids used this before our dinner. La Boyera is run by a German with a Thai wife. He was great and a had a good sense of humour - yes some Germans do. The food was typical Thai, very freshly cooked and excellent. We had a very nice and cheap house wine, although my son-in-law (an Aussie) had a "large" beer - German - it was 1 litre! Excellent value, all had two courses plus ice cream for the girls. The cost was £118 (UK conversion). We were a 1.5km from the restaurant, and didn't have the car, for the last night the owner collected us in his car and we had another great meal . I couldn't recommend this restaurant more highly.
