We visited for an evening meal last night. The food was very good but both main courses could have been hotter. The worst thing was the Coupe as a pudding. Whilst the meal overall was good the prices are high for what we had and indeed all the prices are high. The staff were excellent and are a credit to the restaurant. The background music is certainly not to our taste - perhaps we are the wrong age-group!!

We enjoyed a Sunday lunch here last week and it met all our expectations. Our servers were knowledgeable and helpful and the food was as ordered, hot and delicious. I enjoyed the complimentary offering of a bread with oil and balsamic vinegar.

My roast was well cooked, and the horseradish that accompanied it on request was fantastic.

The Bell is an excellent option for a nice relaxed country lunch with friends. Next time I'll have to go back for dinner.

We called in for meal last night on our way home to West Midlands from a holiday in France and Belgium. I ordered the chicken pie which sounded very tasty from the menu description .Boy was I disappointed. It was tasteless!! I found a couple of large pieces of chicken in the extremely watery sauce mixture and the rest of the sauce was just stringy. I had to eat it with a spoon as a fork proved useless. My husband had fish and chips which was ok. The best part about the meal was the complimentary bread we were given. I was also annoyed by the constant "attention" from the waitress. Why come and ask us if we needed more drinks when the ones we'd got were still three quarters full. We were probably in the restaurant a little less than hour (because the service was so slow and we only had main course) and she must have come to ask us if we were ok or was there something we wanted a least half a dozen times if not more and this was before we had our food. Disappointed is an understatement. It would have been good to know of a reliable restaurant so that we could just drop off the M25 and enjoy a good meal in before carrying on with our journey home. The worst meal of our holiday by far.

Having not been here for over 2 years, thought we'd try it again. Lovely menu and very friendly service, The soup was excellent but the mains came out stone cold and when returned it took over 30 mins for them to be re-done and when they did come the fillet steak was very average and the lamb pretty tasteless. The waitress did apologise and took the wine off the bill for us but we left feeling highly underwhelmed. If we were to go back it would be just for the pizzas and pasta which looked pretty good.
