4 of us went sunday, we booked a table because we had heard that it does get busy there. Loveley old english pub was our first thoughts, ordered our drinks and told the barman that we had booked a table, we were soon taken to our table by a really nice friendley waitress, another waitress bought the menus to us, a young girl but very polite and helpfull. So far so good we thought. Quite an extensive menu so it took a while to decide what to have, all four of us had a different starter and main course, wont go into detail but the starters arrived together and they were BIG then came the main course, equally as big. I can honestley say that this was one of the best pub meals that we have ever had. freshley cooked, fresh veg, and very very enjoyable. The pub, the beer, the staff and the food was 2nd to none. We were not rushed or pestered and apart from the occasional enquiry as to whether everything was ok for us, we were left to enjoy our meal, and enjoy it we did. Everything was 100% which is hard to find nowadays. Just one bit of advice if you intend to try the kings head, the meals are large as are the starters so consider that before ordering. We cant praise this place enough, from walking in to walking out it was brilliant. You really will have a hard job to beat this place. Love it love it love it.
