“As good as we expected.”

Returned having experience the finest lunch I have ever had, no wonder they were busy, the finest of food and not expensive, clearly the word has got round. Extremely pleasant customers who know a thing or two and keep returning. As we were leaving, they had started to serve afternoon tea, what a feast that was, we may sample that in the future.

Janet and her team certainly know what they are doing, give it a try, and the gardens, perfect.

Will we return, you bet we will.

We got Married here some 6 years ago and decided to stay again to celebrate. Such a lovely unique hotel with real charm and character. All the staff are excellent and very knowledgable and it was nice to see Janet the owner so hands on taking our order for dinner. Food was excellent and the gardens are stunning. The night porter was superb and so very friendly. The perfect hotel if you want to get away from it all....we'll be back soon!

I booked this hotel for my parents for their wedding anniversary. I called on 2 occasions one to pay in advance and another to check the check in and check out times, the staff were very pleasant and happy to help. My parents stayed for 1 night and they had a brilliant nights stay. They were upgraded to a suite and said they have never seen a bed as big as the one in their room!! They said the gardens were beautiful and breakfast in the morning was fantastic. The hotel is in a great quiet location and good for a chill out. The hotel does afternoon tea and I believe my parents will be taking my nan there for this. Overall it sounds like they had a great time and I would not hesitate booking this for my husband and I!

I was a guest at a wedding last year & found the staff to be unfriendly, unhelpful & down right rude. The food at the wedding was a disgrace, even unidentifiable...even the waitress didn't know what the dessert was! I would never recommend to anyone or return

This hotel is wonderful with excellent staff, fantastic food, gorgeous gardens in the beautiful setting of the Forest of Bowland.

This is the second time we have visited this hotel and we were not disappointed. Everything is so special but to spend time in their gardens in the summer was lovely. They are beautiful gardens.

Would really recommend a visit to this hotel especially if it's a special occasion.

We have visited the Gibbon Bridge on several occasions and this place can only be described as FANTASTIC!!
Food, service and the rooms are first class. The place is spotless ckean and its a credit to the owner. Me and my family travel 100 mile round trip to visit and its well worth the drive. I am already looking forward to our next visit.
Keep up the good work you have a great business.

We stayed here en route back to the Lake District after a day at Tatton. The staff were very helpful - some did have an idiosyncratic sense of humour! The room was clean and cared for - on split levels. Food was expertly cooked and interesting, with a good enough choice - not fine dining but near. Wine was average priced. Breakfast good choice but I would have welcomed some fish.
The owner was present and obviously took a pride in the hotel. The gardens were spectacular as were the hanging baskets etc. We drove out through the Trough of Bowland over the moors to Kirkby Lonsdale. Spectacular - we will be back both for the area and the hotel.
