“Great Hotel, great staff”
Reviewed October 26, 2013

We stayed on the Sunday night special offer, accommodation & 3 course meal £99. Exceptional value for money!!
The staff were absolutely superb, the meal was great and the room very comfortable.
The girl on check out asked us where we going on the Monday and when we told her we were going to the shopping outlet, she told us to show our invoice at the information point to get an extra 10% discount in some of the stores.
We highly recommend this hotel.

Hi Suzanne C
I'm so pleased you enjoyed our Wine, Dine and Stay deal - it's a fantastic offer isn't it? Especially as it also includes a bottle of wine and full English breakfast.
We can also offer reduced price tickets for Chester Zoo, the Blue Planet Aquarium and Ness Gardens - so plenty to see and do on your next visit!

We booked this hotel for a short break on the Wirral after reading trip advisor reviews. We weren't disappointed. For a room rate of about the same as a Premier Lodge ( booked through the internet) we got a very nice country hotel with extensive and attractive grounds, lovely staff and a very good restaurant. Brilliant location for trips to Chester or Liverpool, park and ride railway station (Hooton) only 10 mins away by car.

Having been bought this Champagne Afternoon Tea experience as a birthday present we set off for the hotel. Having never been here before it was a lovely experience. Staff very helpful with dates and special requests. Afternoon tea excellent although service intermittent once we had been served our "tea". Overall a positive experience and a beautiful setting. Would go again.

Hi The Lakesider
So glad you enjoyed your afternoon tea with us! We are doing a lovely festive afternoon tea menu from 2nd December, and the hotel looks gorgeous with all the decorations up, so perhaps we can tempt you back for a return visit then?

We were treated to a wonderful present:- a dinner, wine, bed and breakfast package, which Inglewood do on certain Sunday evenings. Take our advice and try to take advantage of it.
The hotel is typical of the elegant traditional converted large house from the early 20th century, set in delightfully peaceful gardens.
Reception was friendly and efficient.
The bedroom was clean and spacious and the bathroom was well-appointed and immaculate. There were the usual nice touches: Molton Brown wash and shampoo, Ironing facilities and a generous hospitality tray.
Food and drink were more than generous. The package included sherry and cake in the afternoon - perhaps not to everyone's taste but great fun.
Dinner in a proper dining room was from a good traditional menu. There were excellent starters, such as soups, rabbit terrine or smoked salmon/crayfish salad. The generous tasty mains were again traditional, with a choice of roast meats, lamb shanks etc. There was a wide range of puddings (or cheese of course). A bottle of red or white house wine per couple was included, with the option to upgrade.
Breakfast was again traditional. A wide choice of juices, fruits, cereals and pastries was followed by a good range of traditional English breakfast alternatives, plus eggs Benedict, smoked haddock/poached eggs etc.
Service throughout was attentive but well-trained (so they are only there when needed), which was great.
Overall, this is a traditionally English hotel, with everything to a high standard, and our stay there was very, very enjoyable.

I visited Inglewood Manor on the 4th of October for a wedding. I was travelling with a brother and my parents and my family was also staying there to attend the wedding. We arrived there and shortly afterwards we were shown to our room. The rooms are only for couples so we had a sofa bed so i would recommend this hotel to couples especially looking for a break. The room was clean and well made up and we were quite pleased.
The house itself was marvellous and the grounds are great for walking around also.
Breakfast i was also very impressed with, the service was excellent and the food was delicious.
The wedding was great, service excellent and we had a fab three course meal.
A beautiful building, perfect for weekends away.

Room Tip: Try and get a room with a view over the gardens!

A wonderful refurbished manor house. We have experienced nothing but good service from the staff and the grounds are just beautiful. Would love to hold a cricket match on the oval within the grounds!. The terrace in the afternoon is just the spot for a drink and enjoy the surrounds. Because it is 15 minutes from Chester, it is peaceful and relaxing.
