“yet again anorher disaster”
Reviewed March 29, 2013

Really hit and miss here!! a few staff are good , but my god tonight they are not happy in their jobs! The food was not worth the money, my daughters curry and chips was terrible! the chips looked and tasted they were weeks old, yet mine were freshly cooked and could see the marked difference. On her plate there was all of 12 chips (adult portion) . I had the mixed grill, the gammon was gristle, the rump was chewy the egg was not cooked all the white was runny, the sausages burnt ! Sometimes you can get a decent meal here, but lately it is getting rarer and rarer to get decent food. We used to go twice a week now lucky if they see us once every 2 months.

“Unremarkable.”
Reviewed March 1, 2013

Dined here while staying at the adjacent Premier Inn.
The main restaurant (on a Monday night) was closed due to lack of custom....
The bar area was fine and the full menu was offered.
The food was unremarkable.
The service was OK.
Beware if you arrive late at the hotel:- last food orders is 21:00.
On the plus side, there was a decent selection of ales.

“2 for a tenner, how can you go wrong?”
Reviewed December 28, 2012

Lets get one thing straight from the start: The Tudor Rose isn't fine dining and its never going to win any Michelin stars. The food never rises above a good average and the consistency of the barbecue sauce is little thicker than water. However if the food isn't particularly good neither can it be called bad. The prices are very reasonable and like most restaurants in the Brewers Fayre chain it has a wide selection of 2 for £10 meals. Value wise it can't be faulted. As one previous reviewer said a few more real ales would be nice but thats not really the market this place is aiming it. Rather its market is people who want a cheap meal in immaculately clean surroundings and to be served by staff who are pleasant and friendly. Its not a place for special occasions but for a quick bite at a decent price it can't be faulted.

“The Tudor Rose”
Reviewed November 4, 2012

This must be one of the best branded eating houses on the Wirral. The food is top rate, especially the buffet nights. I like the fish and chips night, swilled down with their Costa Coffe.
The tables are always nice and clean and the staff always very helpfull.
Well worth a visit.
