“Beautiful hotel great stay”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 17, 2014

Stayed at the hotel for one night and was really impressed. The rooms were gorgeous huge bedroom and bathroom! Very clean and beautifully furnished in very modern decor. Would definatly stay again and recommend! Breakfast in the morning was lovely and staff are very helpful. Only issue was the ambiance in the bar area possibly music/sports installed. Fantastic hotel and spa facilities - book any treatments early. Will be returning

Booked here for our anniversary, to be close to Chester. (By the way just £6 in a taxi)
Well first of all, the room was absolutely amazing, very spacious, huge comfortable bed, brand new bathroom fittings, very impressive.
We used the pool, sauna and steam room in rotation a number of times, and loved the relaxing atmosphere, after a windy rainy day shopping in the town centre
After checking the menu, we decided to eat at the hotel. I can't give full marks for the food, the goats cheese wasn't the best, however everything else was tasty, and the staff were polite and attentive.
For breakfast I think the staff were a bit rushed by the number of people, as there was some confusion with orders. Again, a minor point and gave us a couple of amusing moments.
Overall, we will be returning, and recommend it

Room Tip: Room 7 was impressive, well positioned between the reception and restaurant

Booked a stay here for our birthdays. We got a great deal on a suite and it was very very impressive. We were concerned when we arrived as the hotel is in the middle of a renovation and there where electricians, decorators, plasterers everywhere. Its the first thing you see when you walk in. They are doing a very good job of it though. The rooms are beautifully appointed and the overall design and decoration throughout the hotel is modern and tasteful. I hope to returshow hen it is completed (early March).

Room Tip: The suite is amazing and is in the original part of the manor house.

I've stayed a few times at Crabwall Manor. The rooms are lovely, spacious, comfortable and tastefully done. Food has always been good, service friendly and it's a beautiful building and location. The gym is well equipped and a pleasure to use. I have't used the spa or pool yet, but it looks great and it's all clean and looks relaxing.

I have couple of frustrations which let down an otherwise great stay.

1. The water has always been 'warm' and never really gets hot enough for a nice hot bath!

2. This is a major frustration for me - the 'free high speed internet' is rubbish. I've been very kindly moved to rooms that are the better ones for receiving the wifi but even there it drops off several times and is always slow. I come here regularly on business and like to be able to work in the evening, check my emails etc. It's frustrating and not really possible at Crabwall Manor. The location, while lovely, also doesn't have 3G or a mobile network to fall back on (i'm on Vodafone and have a dongle). i know the hotel can't do anything about their 3G coverage, but it's just something to be aware of it you really do expect internet access.

If the wifi improved I would stay here every week. As it happens, I stay at the Holiday Inn up the road most of the time...not as pretty or comfortable by far, but at least i can work.

If I was here for a break, or a spa weekend it would be perfect. For business, it's lacking a fundamental.

Room Tip: All the rooms I've stayed in have been lovely, but if internet;s a consideration make sure you a...

£48 for 2 x 30 min treatments / afternoon tea & champagne / use of facilities (midweek only). Was definitely worth the money. Staff were friendly and approachable. All facilities clean and modern - showers, changing rooms, pool area etc all very nice. The only issue was the Sauna wasn't hot and we couldn't find instructions on how to use so missed out - but this wouldn't stop me from re-visiting. Afternoon tea and champagne was lovely after a Jacuzzi / steam room / swim - generous amount of sandwiches, cake, and scones. I opted for back neck and shoulder massage and a facial. Treatment rooms were spot on and the staff were professional and made us feel at ease. Would go back if another deal came up that suited.

I visited this hotel and stayed for 2 nights with my husband in early october 2013. We had an amazing 2 nights, wonderful spa and so relaxing.
The staff were superb, friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Accomodation was clean, bright and comfortable. Food superb!
When my best friend wanted a girlie couple of days away I didn't hesitate in recommending that we go to Crabwall Manor.
My son is at university in Chester so it's close enough to spend some time with him and to go to the beautiful city and shopping outlet.
Well done to all the staff and see you soon!:-)

Booked to come to this hotel for two nights. Laura very polite and helpful on reception. We had a junior suite which was lovely. It was so expensive and modern looking after the refurbishment and we were very pleased with it. Didnt have to wait long for room service ..this was charged at ££4.50 per tray. The Thai curry was lovely. Loved the spa and pool etc...couldnt work out how the jaccuzi worked but sauna nice and hot but no bucket of water there to throw on the coals. Nice liitle bar in the evening with a good selection of drinks. Breakfast was usual choice but only one sausage, one bacon but was enough for me..the waiter will bring more if needed. Lovely relaxing hotel for a romantic getaway to Chester and would definately recommend.

Room Tip: Room on the 1st floor very quiet
