We spent a week in this lovely little cottage at the beginning of August. Mario and his father gave us a very warm welcome on arrival. Mario speaks extremely good English and he has many interesting ideas to suggest for trips out. The welcome pack of food was very much appreciated and the house itself, whilst being small and cosy, was well-equipped and comfortable. It made an ideal base from which to explore the breathtakingly beautiful
Parque Nacional da Peneda-Gerês. The house is situated in the small village of Soajo, a quirky and fascinating place to explore. There are three restaurants and several cafes in the village, all of which serve good food and the staff are very friendly. This would make an ideal holiday for anybody wishing to experience the more traditional and unspoilt side of Portugal.
