stayed here as part of a family holiday because it offered an excellent rate and is a known quality. All the usual Hilton service on show and very good however with a young family it is a little out of the way - would suit a couple who are happy to do small commute to central paris. While metro/RER/tram and bus all close this is a business district and the crowding on the trains is hard work with young kids. You also miss being able to step outside the door and walk a few blocks in a typical Parisian neighbourhood because it (La Defense) does close down at night. Shopping centre nearby (4 Temps) is very good and convenient. if you do not plan to use mini-bar then ask for all stock to be removed so you can use for own food - also prevents automatic charging as every time you take (or move) an item from the mini-bar it automatically bills your account. This is fixed on check-out but inconvenient.

Dear vgkLondon,

I am pleased to hear that you and your family overall enjoyed your stay with us. As you mentioned, our hotel is located in the La Défense modern business district only located at ten minutes by public transportation from Paris city centre.

I would like to thank you for providing us your feedback and look forward to welcoming you back.

Stayed here on trips in Aug 2011 and June 2010. The rooms were good, staff friendly. Food - both in room service or at the restaurant, particularly the breakfast was great. What i found convenient was the two train stations within 5 minutes walking distance (Charles de Gaulle Etoile and Opera Metro). Lots of shopping options in the mall next to the hotel. Few hitches in getting phone calls patched to my room - but was sorted out soon enough.

This hotel is a nice getaway from Paris. We were living/working in Paris for a few months and La Defense was a great place to have a working retreat away from the bussle of Paris. We stayed here a few times in fact. It is nice and close to the movies, a mall, and businesses. It is also very easy to get to with the metro just underground. You can take an express train into Paris central in about 20 mins.

The hotel itself was really nice but a little 90s with the mirror walkway. The tranquility room which we stayed in featured an awesome bathroom with a TV in the tub.

Overall nice place.

Room Tip: Tranquility rooms were the best.

Stayed here on a business trip in March 2012. The rooms and staff were top notch. The rooms are larger than those in European hotels. Ordered room service and it was delivered very quickly. Had an issue with the television and they worked it out right away. It’s always nice to have an iron in the room for touch ups and Hilton can be counted on for that. Breakfast was great and better than you’ll find at any European brand hotel. Hotel is connected to the Metro and the great mall there in La Defense. It’s pricey, but everything in Paris is.

Welcome to the world of "Impossible." Upgrade for a Diamond member? No. Rollaway bed? Can't do it. Replenish the pancakes on the breakfast buffet? I will say the concierge was helpful in arranging transport to Orly, but the attitude of the housekeeping staff was down right surly. Also, lack of an executive lounge is a detriment.

Although the hotel is well north from the Center of Paris, the metro and RER stations are right downstairs, resulting in quick 15 minute trips into the city. The hotel is also adjacent to a large shopping mall, whcih has many restaurants. Just don't plan on eating there on Sunday evenings. Nothing, except for McDonalds, is open.
