Chalet Chatelet

We visited Chalet Chatelet for a suprise birthday weekend and I must say it exceeded my expectations, and they were already high from previous reviews and pictures. This is such a beautiful place to stay, peaceful with beautiful mountain views, in a small village near some of the major ski areas. This made it feel like a real retreat away from the hussle and bustle but you are still very near it if you want it. The Chalet is beautifully and tastefully decorated and it feels like your home the whole time you are there. It's meticulously clean with amazing rooms. If you are booking as a couple I would defintiely check out all the rooms before you chose as they are all wonderful. We had a top floor room with great views and en-suite and loved it, just so relaxing. The hosts are fantastic and I must say were very helpful even before I arrived dealing with my many questions to make it a perfect surpise weekend. They are genuinely really nice people who are interesting and interested in you and clearly love what they do. We very much enjoyed their company over dinner which they will cook for you at an extra fee on request, but it's really worth it, as the food was delicious, 3 course with wine too. All made with love and care :) oh and you get breakfast too which was also great, we felt really taken care of. Suzie also recommended some outdoor activity place for mountain biking which was ALOT of fun. They do have a hot tub and Sauna, although it rained quite a bit when we were there, still useful I am sure for larger groups, especially in ski season!

This is clearly a place with the guests' best interests first. I would very much recommend staying here and rent a car so you can get out and explore the wonderful mountain scenery.

I have nothing bad to say about this place and would love to go back one day.

Room Tip: All rooms are quiet with great views and are different sizes, I would check all the photos to see wh...

There are so many things that I like about chalet Chatelet. It was such a great week, and made our ski holiday so much more than just skiing. We were so well looked after, the food was incredible, and the location ideal.

Then there is the hot tub, the beautiful rooms, the very spacious sitting room.... Really nothing that I could fault. I'd love to come back one summer as I imagine it is even more spectacular.

We recently stayed 4nights in Chalet Chatelet and one word sums it up superb. Your hosts Suzie and Pascal are just charming and the Chalet which they have built is truly 5 star. Suzie will provide an evening meal if required which we would heartily recommend as the food on all 4 nights was wonderful. If you want great comfort great food and many places to visit within a very picturesque area this is definitely one to go for. We will certainly return.
