“nice and clean,but average overall”
Reviewed August 29, 2013

On the edge of town, small car park. The restaurant was nice and clean and has a nice decor, plenty of wine to choose from and a reasonable menu. The night we went it was quite empty so lacked atmosphere. The waiter/manager was a pleasant chap, but a bit slow. The food was presenteed well, but I think the chef was a bit heavy handed with the salt on all the dishes.
I would not put anyone off going here, its worth a try, but i have had better food in this area.

“A real find”
Reviewed January 13, 2012

We found this place by chance, drove by and saw cars parked, so checked it out. Decided very quickly it was a real find. Perhaps it was the wine list of about 200 names from various Portuguese regions!Anyway, the place shows real pride of ownership. We ordered monkfish rice, a popular local dish for two people similar to seafood risotto, after seeing a nearby table enjoying it. It included huge delicious prawns, was piping hot and came in a big saucepan. There was enough left to take home and have another meal. Really delicious. Coffee and bread were also very good, which is typical in Portugal.
