Ok, so I got to know the guys who run this place but let me get this out of the way to tell you that this little restaurant is well worth the 20 minutes trip out of Albufeira.
Chef David Coelho cooks traditional dishes from the Algarve and from Portugal using local ingredients that are beatifully combined. You find stuff here that you will probably try for the first time (don't miss Tuna Muxama carpaccio, if it's on the list - the dried salted tuna is a welcome heritage from the muslims who ruled this region of the Iberian Peninsula until the "Reconquista"). More common food as chicken or octopus could never be absent of a portuguese restaurant menu, but the composition here will not dissapoint you.
A word for the dessert list with homemade ice creams of local fruit.
Starter, entrée, wine and dessert will put you back between 20€ and 30€ (the wine list offers a good variety), but you won't miss it.
