My children and I loved this lodge. A beautiful place to relax. The room was great, the food superb. I am very impressed, that this lodge is so self sufficient from their farming activities, producing their own meat, milk, cheese and fresh produce. We'll come again and stay longer.

Stayed here for 2 nights on the way from Windhoek to Fish River.
Firstly its a fair way off the B1 so I would suggest staying 2 nights if heading that way to allow time to enjoy the place.
Obviously if heading east that is not a concern.
Others have covered the facilities very well so will not repeat those.
We always travel half board when staying at such places, as nowhere else to eat, so cant really comment re food pricing but I can say it was all excellent.
The only negative is they do not offer any activities other than the farm walk etc and we had to go to the Anib Lodge back towards the B1 for a Sundowner Tour. Which we enjoyed simply for something to do. Compared to later tours it was not particularly spectacular but we did see some animals and the sunset over the Kalahari Dunes was nice. Just a nice relaxing drive and drink before dinner.
The minor negative here was the drive back the the Farmhouse after dark.
Had wifi in the main area.

Room Tip: All same but some closer to the carpark if carrying bags is an issue. Only a few metres anyway.

We were at a neigbouring Lodge and came over for a day visit. This place is stunning. We were shown around the beautiful farm. Vegetable and livestock impress. We met the cheese-maker and saw the butchery and smokery. The cottages are lovely and one could spend the whole day experiencing Namibian farm Life

Room Tip: all rooms are similarly well appointed

Cute cottages, simply furnished and set in a cool garden - nice patio to laze and read a book on. Not a good idea to have much luggage as you have to haul it yourself from the car park to the cottage. It was interesting to wander around the vegetable section, check the little pigs playing and watch the cows being milked so we looked forward to a simple fresh-from-the-farm dinner only to hear that we had to have a three course dinner - no option. At Nam$250 per person we felt this was way too much for a plate of food so we went across the road to Stampriet Historical Guest House where we had an excellent meal for a very reasonable price. Highly recommended and in future we will probably stay there.

Our first visit and we thoroughly enjoyed it. The garden cottages are very tastefully done and have a small stoop to sit outside and enjoy the evening sunshine. Lovely, comfortable bed and good shower with air conditioning, although at this time of year it was starting to cool down, so not needed. The house itself is lovely, old with some interesting old advertising signs. The food is organic and comes from their own farm, so very eco friendly. My husband went down to watch the milking and the owners do encourage visitors to do this, with morning guides. The swimming pool was lovely, which for me was the main draw after a day's travelling. It's a great place to stay prior to driving the quite lonely but magnificent scenery road to the Kgalagadi Transfrontier park (entering at Mata, Mata).

Room Tip: The cottages are all the same I guess, but the end one gets the most evening sun.

Arrived a little late and had to rush for the drive to a sister site back down the road for a small animal sundowner. As an introductory safari it was great and the sundowner by our guide Sally who was a wonderful guide and set the bar up well, but had no idea how much gin goes in a gin and tonic. At least it kept us warm on the way back to the farmhouse, as after sundown the temp dropped quickly to what felt like freezing and we were all greatfull for the supplied blankets. in our open "safari type vehicle. Our dinner awaited on our return, and we were surrounded by warming fireplaces. After dinner a few drinks around the fire with other guests and it was off to our cottage where the promised open fire was gently burning. Tired as we were we made use of the fire before bedding down for the night. With a long way to go on the morrow we were up early for a lovely breakfast served by ever so friendly people, which is how we heard of the dairy. The Kalahari farmhouse has a market garden and a dairy where they grow produce and make cheese for use in other local holiday destinations. We had a brief tour of the dairy and sheep yards before heading off. What a great experience.

Room Tip: All rooms OK, some a few meters further from the dining room.

Some of the nicest people we met in namibia. Excellent accommodation and food mainly produced on the farm. Lots of log fires lit on the cold evenings and lovely warm rooms. Happy to show you round the self sufficient farm which is really interesting in the desert surrounds. Really is a peacful oasis under the palm trees. 3 hours to the Kgalagadi transfrontier Park at Mata Mata.

Room Tip: Number 11 in the winter as get more sun
