We were booked at Kalahari Farmhouse for only 1 night but it was the best stay we had in Namibia. We were met in the parking area by a friendly lady who checked us in and assisted us with our luggage. The rooms are beautiful and comfortable. Dinner was excellent and the service friendly and extremely efficient. Frieda, assistant manager, was very attentive and always had a friendly smile.
We saw the cows being milked the next morning and Junita approached us and offered us a tour of the self sufficient center. We gladly accepted and she took us around. What a lovely and well run operation. She was very knowledgable and enthusiastic about the little farmstead.
Well done to Kalahari Farmhouse. We will definately recommend this place.

Beautifully presented and very comfortable individual little farmhouses in a lush garden oasis (so refreshing after roads and desert). I stayed only one night but was on a tour so couldn't stay as long as I'd liked to have! When we were there a delightful couple had just arrived to manage this working dairy farm for a period. The permanent staff were very relaxed and friendly. One of our tour had a birthday and they sang a Capella wishes to him. The food was fabulously cooked and presented. The service was caring and attentive. I felt well looked after. They have a great farmhouse with shop and bar and a good pool. Highly recommend.

Room Tip: All rooms are very good.

Stayed one night at the Farmhouse and was enchanted by this little unexpected gem in Stampriet! The cottages are quaint and charming(although open-plan bedroom and bathroom AGAIN - what is up with that??) and the whole ambience of the place is just too sweet! Very interesting decor, lovely food and very friendly staff ! Highly recommended and well worth the schlepp of driving about 60km from Mariental! So glad we did-an utterly charming place! It is a working farm which supplies all the veggies, milk products and meat products to the rest of the Gondwana Collection resorts which are scattered around Namibia.Best feta cheese I have ever tasted!! Agnes and Diana looked after us superbly and deserve a mention here-they were soooo friendly and eager to please.Well done-we will come again!!

Room Tip: The cottages are built in a little semi-circle around the most charming garden-anyone of them will p...

We have spent only one night at Kalahari Farmhouse during our honeymoon. The experience was very satisfactory. The hotel has a beautiful and peaceful private garden. All the rooms face the garden and have a small space outside. Our room was quite big and it also had a small kitchen. It was very clean and the bed really comfortable. The dining are is very nice and loacted in the middle of the garden. Excellent food and service.

The Kalahari Farmhouse is not only a wonderful place to stay at, it is also a working farm. Besides growin their own vegetables and keeping some animals they produce cheese and process meat. The benefit's double: fresh grocery for the Farmhouse kitchen and more jobs for the local community.
Loved the farm, loved the concept and enjoyed our stay!

We were expecting a new lodge and it does not seem so, the worst thing was that when we arrived the room was alredy full of mosquitos, unpleasant, in any other lodge of our trip we found so many. The lodge does not have any activity so you have to drive around 30 min to the nearest Anib lodge which is in fact near to Windhoek and therefore more convenient than Kalahari farmhouse.

A very nice hotel in the Kalahari Desert. I think, there're only 10 lodges in a small beautiful garden. The service was friendly and helpful. The breakfast und the dinner are offered in a nice restaurant in- and outdoor.

However the lodge does not offer any activities like game driving. It cooperates with the Kalahari Anib Lodge, which organizes the gaming driving. We were in luck to get free places in a group organized by the Anib Lodge. However, these activities are not always available for the guests of the Farmhouse.
