“Great place, great location”
Reviewed September 28, 2014 for a stay in September 2014

Love this place. Been here many times now both with the new owners and previous. As another review states it's not some luxury villa with pool but it's a great French house. Plenty of room, nice and clean, well appointed kitchen etc. so you can be creative in the kitchen if you want . Nice area outside to sit and chill with a glass or two of wine. Great space on top floor to sit and just stare at the view, see Canigou ion a clear day and just marvel at its size .
Tuchman is right in the middle of fitou wine growing region and there are great villages, castles, monasteries, beaches, walks restaurants and caves of course all within easy reach by car. Great cycling here as well. Village has all the amenities you need, two small supermarkets, butchers, post office, garage, caves etc. etc.
if you want an active break in a relatively unspoilt region with loads of interesting things to do this is a great base.

“Room for all of us and wonderful hosts!”
Reviewed January 30, 2014 for a stay in July 2013

We traveled to the region with our two children, including our daughter who loves to ride horses. John and Linda were staying in their wonderful home the week before we arrived. They met us and directed us to a nearby horse ranch where the owner spoke English. Our daughter went on two long trail rides and we had a wonderful dinner at the ranch, helping our whole vacation to be even better.
We spent a week in Paris, a week in the French Alps and finished at this house in the south of France. We were afraid it might be a letdown, but turned out to be a highlight. We were thrilled to have chairs, an umbrella and other beach equipment for a great day at the Mediterranean. Our son loved the beach they recommended.
But we also found great swimming in a nearby pool and community pond. We also found excellent wine and enjoyed having breakfast on the terrace each morning with coffee and tea. All around, it was perfect for our family. Everything we needed, space to spread out and more. I could go on and on...

“Amazing place to keep going back to.... and I do!”
Reviewed June 9, 2013 for a stay in August 2012

Linda and John are very caring of their guests and ensure everything is in place. This is not only about a bottle of wine, enough to create a late dinner, beautifully clean and fresh linen and rooms, but about knowing people.

The accommodation is not a villa with a pool and en suite, but it is a typically french home and it has a particularly welcoming feel. The view across the valley to the mountains beyond is stunning particularly on a clear day and the views change according to the light. The village itself has basic shopping and services and is within easy reach of Carcassonne, Perpignan, Narbonne, Spain... just about anywhere. You do need a car though. I love it! Thank you both so much for letting me go back again and again :)
