“Quiet place”
Reviewed April 5, 2017 for a stay in April 2017

The location is situated in a very quiet location, and I arrived after a journey of 2:00 drive from Bucharest. In fact without a car you can not reach this location. There are advantages and disadvantages, the place is very quiet but quite isolated, the road is not asphalted and you must have a car, but also to visit other places around. The staff is very helpful and the rooms are very clean. As a suggestion, it would be good to have in the room minibar.

“Great food and accommodation”
Reviewed June 13, 2016 for a stay in May 2016

I took part in a course here in May 2016 and was very impressed.

The rooms are en suite and situated in individual houses (three rooms per house). The rooms themselves are good, clean hotel-style rooms with private bathroom, TV, wifi etc. And then downstairs there's a large living room and fully equipped kitchen.

The restaurant serves great food. Simple as that.

And the location is fantastic. On top of a hill overlooking a nearby village. Very quiet and peaceful.

“Human Excellence”
Reviewed June 5, 2016 for a stay in June 2016

In a country with an oscillating service level, and where one's property is all that matters to him / her, the Satul Prunilor is a lesson. A lesson on how things can fluidly work out, sometimes in harsh conditions, a lesson on putting a smile on, on cooking simple, yet mouth-watering dishes grandma' style, on being flexible and helpful. A lesson on enjoying what one does for a living and not merely on doing something, anything, whatever. The prime location, on a hilltop overlooking the rolling hills around and the two mountain ranges to the North (the Bucegi and Leaota), as well as the fact that they only provide based on previous bookings, the Satul Prunilor is a tranquil, comfortable oasis set in a bucolic, rustic scenery, cattle and horses moving across the vast pastures and across the plum tree orchard around. The 3 room, generous villas, with their extensive living and open kitchens, as well as the individual terrace, are a fine blend of airy design and traditional elements (such as the shingle roof). The separate restaurant and conference quarters also provide generous views all around. As for the cuisine, that is fine a recollection of grandmother's, and of what traditional cuisine actually stands for, with local ingredient dishes (try the smoked cheese, the locally made plum jam, the eggplant salad to name but a few). And, to complete the circle, it all gets back to the staff. Tireless (even though they do not work in shifts), always smiling and helpful, natural and generous. Thank you!

“Excellent for a vacation with family or friends”
Reviewed February 25, 2015 for a stay in February 2015

Minus:
- basic furniture in the rooms
- you need a car to go practically anywhere, around
- no asphalt for some 400m from the main road to the Villas; your car will get very dirty

Plus:
- the view around is spectacular !
- very well equipped kitchen; pleasant feeling when spending time in the living room and the veranda around
- personnel was very kind and efficient; we felt spoiled :) !!!

Overall: the villas are very nice and cozy; generally, the entire complex is very quite, clean and pleasant. It's perfect for relaxed vacation with family, or an extended weekend with friends !

“excellent for adventure holidays camps”
Reviewed December 13, 2014 for a stay in July 2014

we had our cyclotourism summer camp there: we felt extraordinary and we loved the restaurant team of ladies! Ask for Bogdan or Raluca when you call for reservations... they will do their best for giving you smart recommendations!

“Just perfect”
Reviewed August 3, 2014 for a stay in August 2014

Just came back from a short 2-days stay at Satul Prunilor during a team building which I organized here for some colleagues.
We loved the place, the villas are just perfect, they don't lack anything you might need to feel good here, the rooms are cozy, decorated with taste, but also very practical. The kitchen is equipped with anything you might need if you wish to self-cater.
If not, the restaurant serves delicious natural food, large portions and all done in-house which adds and extra flavor :)

The area is beautiful, with splendid views of the mountainous area nearby (30 km to Sinaia), the morning air is crisp and clear, besides the guests' cars, you won't see or hear any other cars to bother you.
The atmosphere is tranquil, nobody bothers you, the resort is well-taken care of, everything has its place and is well maintained.

I truly recommend the villas if you are looking for a cozy, out-of touristy area place to spend some time relaxing with friends in a natural environment.
If at some point the owners decide to also build a small pool with a lounge area for sunny days, I believe this could become one of the best holiday resorts in Romania.

“Perhaps the best holidays location in south of Romania in an excellent setting”
Reviewed April 22, 2014 for a stay in April 2014

Satul Prunilor is located on a hilltop at 700 meters altitude, not too far from the more famous mountain resort of Sinaia and is surrounded by plum trees (from where the name of the place comes - ”The village of the plum trees”). The vue to the nearby mountains, raising at 2000-2500 meters, is breathtaking. The place is somehow remote and this ensures plenty of silence and fresh air. The villas are spacious and the landscape can be admired through the large windows and glass doors. The place is suited for families with children, as all the areas are non-smoking (it would be a shame to smoke in such a fresh air!) and children have plenty of room to play in the grass and under the plum trees.
