What a place to relax and unwind. Hazel Cottage's position within the plot is superb. Everything you need was at hand and the owner was always available and very hospitable. Definetly will return. Great for owners of well behaved dogs.

On arrival, Carl was very welcoming with a thoughtful welcome pack filled with some essentials waiting for us - wine being included! The cottage was spotless and clean, with every facility that we needed being available. It is the perfect size for a couples holiday.

The cottage is idyllic and situated in the countryside away from any noise which made it perfect for our stay. It is also a short drive to local towns and coastal towns/beaches which were great for afternoons out. Carl had even gone to the trouble of creating a very detailed location guide of things to do in the area which we found very useful! The pool on site only metres away from the cottage was brilliant! I would highly recommend this cottage for anyone looking for a relaxing break away from reality!

“A tranquil, peaceful, quiet and beautiful relaxed place to be, would recommend to anyone, we didn't want to leave”
Reviewed November 3, 2015 for a stay in September 2015

We had a fabulous relaxed two weeks staying in Hazel cottage with our 2 year old daughter and our west highland terrier Billy, it was so relaxed that our daughter could explore freely without the worry and our dog could run around without having to be told to come back, the owner Carl is thoughtful and kind and very helpful nothing is too much for him he even helped us to book our dog into a local vets so that he could return home with us. We had such a relaxing holiday enjoying visiting many places that weren't too far away, but we also enjoyed a few chilled days at the cottage, as there was plenty to do, nothing could have been better as even the weather was beautiful for the majority of the stay despite it being step-oct for when we stayed, the only thing that we didn't realise was with it being out of season a lot of restaurants shut so don't serve food during the day, and sometimes when out we struggled to find places that were open, but it didn't put us off we still wanted to explore. Hazel cottage was a perfect place for our family and we couldn't recommend it highly enough we had a thoroughly relaxing holiday and didn't want to leave, thank you we will be back!

Amazingly quiet when sat out on an evening. Welcome pack very comprehensive. The pool was quite cool by September but cleanest I have experienced at a gite. Shower position awkward but under review by owner.
A good spot from which to explore the area.

“Great Place to relax & unwind”
Reviewed July 31, 2015 for a stay in July 2015

Hazel Cottage is definitely off the beaten track which made it the ideal place to relax and escape from everyday life. It was in a very peaceful setting within large grounds with plenty of exploring to do. The cottage was clean and well equipped, with a very comfortable sofa. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom facilities were a little cramped but perfectly adequate. The welcome pack was a very nice touch. We spent most days driving around the south of Brittany and Hazel Cottage was a great place to return to at the end of the day.

“Wish we could have stayed longer.”
Reviewed July 28, 2015 for a stay in July 2015

Many thanks to Carl and co for providing a beautiful, quiet, friendly, comfortable home-away-from home.
The cottage is really beautifully finished and has it's own private deck, which we took full advantage of, complete with provided BBQ.
We only had 3 days at the cottage and had some excursions planned for the area, however, found the pool and cottage so welcoming, we ended up staying quite local.
Near enough to many really scenic spots though, with some great walks.
Would recommend a break at Hazel cottage any time.
Carl was on hand for any questions, and the welcome package was greatly appreciated.
Thanks for a great stay.

ps shower was a little snug, although carl did mention this. It was well worth seeing my 6'7" husband limbo. The window in the bathroom and the skylights over the bed are magical though.

“So relaxing - a week wasn't long enough!”
Reviewed June 30, 2015 for a stay in June 2015

We've just returned from spending a week in Hazel cottage. To say it was relaxing is an understatement. The gite is perfect for a couple - very clean, comfortable and well equipped. Most of our holiday was spent out on the deck, gazing across the lawn, reading books and having a glass of wine ( or two). The pool was very pleasant and the owner Carl struck a perfect balance between being around to answer any questions we had and leaving us to chill out. On our occasional trips out we loved driving through the beautiful Brittany countryside - we even came across a couple of dogs in a nearby hamlet who loved to run beside the car - kind of like Napoleon and Lafayette in the Aristocats! All in all a wonderfully relaxing and enjoyable holiday - cant wait to go back again for longer!
