“Highly recommended meal in Roquebrun”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 14, 2013

We had an excellent date night at this traditional French restaurant. Their cuisine uses local in-season products, and they had a good selection of dishes on the menu. The menus that include starter, main & dessert are very reasonably priced at €19.50.

Our starters were tasty smoked salmon salad, and jumbo shrimp salad. Mains were entrecote and grilled salmon, very well executed. Desserts were gateau chocolat and creme brulee, excellent choices. There's also a good wine list, and we had a delicious Cuvee Capucin Rouge for €16

The ambiance is cozy and elegant, and when the weathers warmer, the outdoor terrace overlooks Roquebrun. Service was friendly and unimposing. Parking is nearby along the esplanade, also on the main road.

“An unbelievable meal.....”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 3, 2013

We were given a recommendation to visit another restaurant for lunch in Roquebrun but as it was closed for the season we stumbled upon this place in need of a meal for two hungry people. Wow! it was absolutely amazing. It turned out that the waiter was actually the chef himself..( we think he was short staffed?). He managed to eloquently serve eight tables and also prepare all the meals like a well choreographed symphony. The service was slow, but in light of the fact that he was doing everything...this was to be truly expected. The meal was absolutely unbelievable. It was hot and delicious and like eating at a michelin star restaurant. It deserves a five star review....!!!!

“Extremely pleasant lunch”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 10, 2012

We had lunch on Monday 23rd Sept. Moules were on offer as their main course that day. Delicious. We sat outside, experienced very good service, a demi pichet of the rose and had a really good meal.

“Good food, nice atmosphere”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 19, 2012

The pleasant exterior of this restaurant is in contrast to the rather unusual interior where there is a relative feeling of formality. We ate outside! We were a party of six and so sampled a decent cross section of the menu and everyone was happy with their respective choices. With only one waiter serving 30/40 guests our Sunday lunch took almost 3 hours but then we were not in a hurry. The local wine was typically very good and generally this was a very pleasant experience and we shall have no hesitation in returning sometime soon.

“Great moules frites and nice atmosphere”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 16, 2012 via mobile

A great place with very nice staff and very nice food. We almost always have the moules frites but the rest of the options are also worth a try. Prices are very reasonable.
