A retreat into tranquility and nature with the added bonus of Abel Tasman National Park.
Escape the commerce of holiday time, relax and enjoy the whole environment in this fabulous setting and welcoming chalets.

I particularly enjoyed the cooking - what a brilliant arrangement of microwave, hot plate and alternative cooking was provided. Cooking for one always seems unnecessary but here it was possible to create a gourmet meal for one and still have time to enjoy the evening light and a glass of wine.

We spent three nights in Abel Tasman and really enjoyed the Ocean View Chalets as our home base.

The rooms are all free standing cabins. Our one bedroom cabin was small but very well built, made of (I believe) pine. It was well built and attractive, seemed almost new, and was immaculate. There were beautiful views of horse pastures and ocean from the sliding glass door that opened to the living room and there was a small but serviceable kitchen. The bathroom had plenty of hot water in the shower which we really appreciated after a day of kayaking and trekking around the national park.

The reception/front desk was manned by a husband and wife team who were very friendly and helpful. They had a lot of knowledge of the area and could help to arrange tours or make suggestions about outings. As we checked in they asked if we had anything set up the next day that we needed to re-confirm and I realized that we had been supposed to reconfirm our kayak trip for the following day. Our host immediately called the company on our behalf to confirm and check on the weather conditions for us.

Note that there is no wi-fi in the rooms but there is wi-fi in the reception area if you really need it.

We had a car so didn't end up walking much but it was a short drive (maybe five minutes) to the closest restaurant and little market that was attached to the restaurant where we got supplies to make our own breakfasts.

I would definitely look into staying here again. It's definitely getting away from it all but it's getting away in comfort.

This was the highlight of our sixteen day stay in New Zealand. The sea views were simply stunning from our Premium Chalet. It was a very spacious apartment with very comfortable seating, both in the lounge and both outdoor decks. It is a Family owned business and Robert, Constanza and Chris were just so helpful. They advised us on some activities which were great, thanks Chris.
It is only a short walk to all of the activities and shops, but so peaceful as you are a good distance from other chalets.
We would be back to stay here "Like a Shot"

Room Tip: We stayed in the One Bedroom Premium Chalet, did not see the others. Definitely worth the extra

We loved our stay at the Ocean View Chalets. The hosts were wonderful, Robin was really sweet and he cooked a fantastic breakfast! Make sure and request it! They were helpful in advising us in everything we wanted to do. The Chalet's were adorable and nicely appointed with plenty of space and a fantastic view. One of our favorite places we stayed while in New Zealand!

Room Tip: Make sure and ask for a room with an Ocean View, I'm not sure all rooms have them.

We stayed here two nights in order to walk the Abel Tasman Coast Track. Our room was a studio so not as large as some of their other chalets. It was adequate and very comfortable, particularly the electric blankets. This place is a short walk from the park entrance which is where the one restaurant that was open was located. It was also a short walk the other way to a small store which had a limited choice of basic supplies. This is where we purchased our first meal consisting of canned spaghetti. Actually it was not too bad. The next day we spent he morning walking part of the Coast Track. We spent the afternoon doing laundry and nothing. Their sign out front says relax, enjoy and rejuvenate, and that is what we did. The staff were friendly and there was free WiFi.
