I spent one very enjoyable night at this refurbished historical hotel with my mother who is 70+. A younger accomodating woman showed us our 2 single rooms and explained our weekend package with afternoon tea, dinner and breakfast. My room (no.3) was furnished with chinese antiques (chair, cupboard, etc.), nice painting as well as a canopy bed and patterned tapestry. The mix worked and was charming. Small bathroom without a window. My mothers room (no. 2) had a more feminine decor with a nice view of the church. Our stay - incl. superb afternoon tea and breakfast - was great, but there were a few mishaps: hair dryer didn't work, no closing mechanism on chinese cupboard so doors kept opening, and constant noise from the front door below during opening hours (until 10 pm).
Præstø is a charming country town - and the hotel is one of its attractions with an excellent restaurant.More
