Grignols is a small, quite town in a beautiful part of France. The rooms at Relais du Chateau are quite large, clean and welcoming. Claude is an excellent host. He has a great selection of beers and the food in the restaurant on the Friday night was great.

Claude is a great host. He is so laid back he could limbo under the doors!!! The bar is small with a multitude of great beers on offer, mostly Belgian, as that is where Claude is from. He speaks fluent English and makes the best jam I have ever tasted, which is served with bread and croissant for breakfast. This is a no frills place to stay but is perfect for a short break in the beautiful Dordogne and the welcome you get is warm and friendly. I will definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: All the custom built rooms have windows opening onto the rooftops of the village...lovely.

Stayed with family nearby but used the restaurant and bar regularly . Claude has a wonderful selection of Belgian beer and serves excellent food too . The lunchtime menu is not too be missed and Friday night is a great night to attend . Claude is a great host and has a great sense of humour , enjoying a banter with customers . Highly recommend it ....

What a delight this man is and what wonderful chef he is. We stayed for three nights and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The very casual Claude is a font of knowledge about the area. This age old village was a wonderful place to base ourselves when exploring the Dordogne area.
