This wasn't the first time I had travelled to St Lucia with my family of 5, I have stayed in various high end hotels in the north of the island and I must say it doesn't come close to having your own private home!
As soon as we entered Villa Atlantis and walked out onto the the patio whilst holding my St Lucian Rum Punch given to us upon arrival (this set the tone for the holiday ;) ) we couldn't believe the 270 degree views over the Caribbean ocean, Pigeon island, the golf course and the Atlantic ocean. It was described as "Heaven on earth" by my wife.
Some mornings my eldest son and I took a walk down to the typically caribbean beach "Cas en Bas" on the Atlantic side of the island which took about an hour there and back. We did say we would try the windsurfing lessons that were on offer to us by the local club however we never got round to take them up on it, my only regret of the holiday.
We had a lot of enjoyable times by the large infinity edge pool that splayed across the rear of the house, gazing over Rodey bay and the golf course. A few sun sets were spent with a box of cool Piton beers sitting with our feet in the pool as we listened to various Bob Marley tracks and we really began to get into the swing of the infamous "Caribbean vibe".
There's a great, buzzing night life in the Marina where we enjoyed a variety of meals. Parma Pizza at Elenas Pizzeria one night and fresh sushi at Rituals a few days later were my favourites, however there was also an authentic Indian restaurant which we also tried and enjoyed. The evenings spent at the house with the cook were even better. On these nights we requested locally caught fish, chicken curry and a fillet of steak with chips amongst various other meals, but these are the ones that still have my taste buds tingling!
After we pulled ourself from the very comfortable outside chairs with the Caribbean breeze providing a handsome temperature, the family and I watched some comic DVD's that we brought along with us which made for the perfect end to the evening.
"Grand, a luxurious treasure on the island or the ideal Caribbean holiday" are only a few of the incredibly positive ways of which my family and I can think of to describe Villa Atlantis and I cannot wait until we return. I would like to thank Joan for helping us whenever we had any questions and the staff for making the holiday as relaxing as possible.
As frequent visitors of the island, we are so glad we found villa Atlantis. The location is perfect, with breathtaking views! We have three lively children so having this amount of space and a great size pool made such a difference as previously we had always stayed in hotels. The staff were so friendly and nothing was too much. We will definitely be coming back here for our next holiday!
The Atlantis villa is a haven and a perfect Caribbean location for a gathering of family or friends.
My recent stay
was undoubtedly the most luxurious and comfortable of my numerous visits to St Lucia having found accommodation that ticked every box.
Everything about Atlantis from opening the impressive front door to sipping drinks on the well appointed terrace was a joy.
Attention to detail is obvious everywhere in this beautiful villa and the stunning views cannot fail to impress.
Situated in a peaceful location you have the privacy and relaxed atmosphere that appeals yet carribean life is a short drive away.
The staff that took care of our needs were friendly and very helpful and we truly felt spoiled.
A dream location on the very beautiful island of st Lucia and a place I would defiantly return to that is Atlantis.
