“Lovely cottage in country location ”
Reviewed May 9, 2015 for a stay in May 2015

Our family stayed a week and loved it. The cottage is beautiful and well maintained in a lovely country location close to Wedmore and Cheddar. Our boys loved being able to pat lambs from the farm. Highly recommended.

I'm so glad you enjoyed your stay here. We are always pleased to show our guests the animals on the farm. People seem to love the calves and the lambs. Thank you for your kind comments.

“Our fifth visit”
Reviewed April 6, 2015 for a stay in March 2015

We have been coming to Cider Apple Cottage since 2009. It is remarkable how Penny keeps everything so fresh and new. When we first visited the patio garden had just been laid out so it has been interesting to see how that has grown. As the years have progressed we have both become a great deal less mobile so appreciate more than ever the comfortable surroundings.

It is amazing to think that you have been coming for so long. We strive to keep things up to a high standard and even improve things if possible. The patio garden has certainly grown now and is full of colour throughout most of the year.Thank you for your lovely comments and we hope to see you again next year.

“Great place”

This cottage is everything as described and more. Had a very relaxing and comfortable stay. Huge bed, underfloor heating, small but perfectly formed kitchen, dishwasher, etc., wonderful ensuite shower, comfy leather furniture, wifi and so on. Enjoyed the fire in the log burner and that one wall in the living area is almost all glass - unfortunately too cold for us to have the folding door thing open (but it was November). It also seemed a very suitable place for someone with limited mobility. Penny is very welcoming and friendly. Lots of choices to have an evening meal in Wedmore, though we chose to drive there rather than walk along the country lane on a Winter evening. Somerset levels area is a beautiful place and this cottage is in the right place to allow you to enjoy it. We will stay again in Cider Apple

Thank you so much for the kind review. I'm glad you found it warm and comfortable and that you were able to relax. It is always good to hear that our guests with limited mobility find it easy to get around. As you said, the Somerset Levels are beautiful and very easy to get to as are the local cities of Wells, Bristol and Bath. There is always plenty to do here and we look forward to welcoming you back.

“Excellent in every way”

Cider Apple Cottage offered everything one would ask for from self-catering accommodation. The cottage is immaculately clean, warm and comfortable, modern yet retaining the old character of the converted farm building. In fact we didn't want to leave! The Denbees really have thought of everything and were extremely helpful and pleasant but unobtrusive, leaving us to make ourselves very much at home!
The position is convenient to the interesting village of Wedmore and wonderfully central to the Somerset Levels, the area we were wanting to explore. We had a thoroughly enjoyable week.

I'm so glad you enjoyed your holiday. Thank you for all the kind things you have said. The cottages are very cosy as they are extremely well insulated and the floor to ceiling windows are on the south of the building. We also have underfloor heating which makes the natural stone floors lovely and warm. The woodburner contributes to the atmosphere when it is lit on those cooler evenings. As you said, the cottages are very centrally placed to the Somerset Levels but are also central to the main towns and cities in the region such as Bristol, Bath, Wells, Glastonbury and Taunton. There is lots to see and do here. Thank you once again for your review. Penny.
