“A beautiful place for a quick get away!!”

A beautiful location for a quick get away with the family. Booking was quick and easy.

The owners, Todd and Shizuka, were very welcoming and provided a clean, comfortable and well equipped place to stay that suited both adults and kids. They were very helpful and provided guides for the local area. They even posted us back our hair dryer that we had left behind!!

It was only a short walk away to a small village where there was a co op shop. Other towns were only a short drive away.

Beds were very comfortable, kitchen was well equipped, the bathroom was clean and spacious and there were picturesque views from both balconies. Tv, DVD player, soundsystem, quick wifi and a range of DVDs to watch.

A lovely view of the river and marina. We were provided with a bbq, kayaks, a row boat and life jackets which made the kids very happy. There were lots of fish for the kids to fish for in the river. The area also seemed very safe so I was happy to let my kids play outside while I was cooking.

Overall a brilliant place to have a quick get away. Would definitely go again.

“As ALWAYS fantastic.”

My 5th stay at "River Lark Lodge" this time though at the newly revamped lakeside lodge. The welcome has not changed and is as wonderfully warm as ever. The lodge is equipped to a very high standard and if we were short of anything, baring in mind we were the 1st to stay here, Shizuka & Todd made sure it was with us ASAP. With Ely on the doorstep, North Norfolk a short drive away plus a host of other places to visit there is never a shortage of things to do. The fishing is serenely relaxing and the wild life/bird life fantastic. We will be returning again (and again).

We had a great stay, welcomed by both Todd and Shizuka. They were very accommodating and made sure we had everything we needed and more. The location was very relaxing and the house was extremely clean and pleasant to stay in. We were with our 11 month old daughter and she had a lovely time too! We will definitely go back.

“Beautiful lodge in a beautiful location....”

I stayed at the lodge in February 2013 and it was lovely. The lodge itself is set in the beautiful Marina in Isleham which was so nice and peaceful. The owners made sure the lodge has all the required things to ensure my stay was comfortable and relaxing ie all new appliances, cooker, microwave, washing machine etc. It was fully stocked with cutlery, plates, dishes, cooking pots and pans so all my requirements were met sufficiently. Hats off to the owners for ensuring everything that is required for a comfortable and enjoyable stay is provided.

I would definitely stay at the Lodge again. Isleham is a great small village, I recommend a pint in the local pub called The Griffin where you will be warmly welcomed and offer a good selection of ales, their food menu is amazing for a small village pub.

I would like to thank the owners for making my stay enjoyable and relaxing and like I said earlier, I would definitely stay again.

My husband and I stayed at this lodge for a few days and it was idylic - such a stunning location and a beautiful lodge with great facilities. A fab get away from it all that was much needed - we didn't want to go home. Amazing nights sleep the best we had both had in a while - we wanted to take the beds home with us as so comfy and cosy. The owner could not have been more helpful and we had our every need and request met with grace and humour. We will be stay here again and again and would highly recommend others do too!

“Idyllic Get Away”

An idyllic spot to rest and recharge your batteries whilst watching the river pass by.

Comfortable, clean, bright and airy accommodation with plenty of thoughtful touches by the owners who have provided local information, guide books, DVDs etc. There’s even a boat!

Well equipped kitchen, HDTV and DVD player etc. All you might need.

Really comfortable beds – the best night’s sleep ever!

Local village is an easy 20 minute stroll away with supermarket, pubs etc. Farm shop nearby too.

I’m not into fishing but I understand the fishing there is very good.

Would definitely recommend it to couples or a family.

“The owner were patronising and rude. Fortunately we were able to cancel our stay with them”

We have paid 10% deposit as required and days later the owner, Marc threatened us to pay the full amount otherwise our booking will be cancelled. As we were out of the country, we assured him that we will pay into his account as soon as we return as we still have a few days before we arrived. Marc immediately sent a rude email and cancelled our booking. We are glad we didnt stay with them.
