Stayed for 2 nights in a studio apartment. Very pleasant place to stay. Lovely views and beautiful gardens. Easy parking and easy access to room. Host very friendly and welcoming. High recommend.

John and Cynthia were the perfect hosts from the point of booking until we regretfully left the property. My mother-in-law treated my husband and I to an overnight stay and Cynthia was so unbelievably patient when I wanted to change the booking to include a wine tour. Nothing was too much trouble and, even over the phone, her friendliness and helpful attitude oozed through.

Cynthia let us check in early as a favour as we had a wine tour booked for 8.30am and that was just the start of the amazing customer service we enjoyed in our far-too-short stay at Amamoor Lodge.

John and Cynthia were there to greet us upon our return from the winery tour and took a genuine interest in hearing about our day before leaving us to enjoy the magnificent property they call home. From the verandah, we watched a spectacular storm that only enhanced the beauty of what Amamoor Lodge has to offer.

The room itself (we stayed in the self contained studios), were immaculately clean with a firm yet comfortable bed and self-contained kitchen. I can't comment any more on the actual room as the property was so beautiful that we spent all of our time outdoors enjoying spectacular views of the mountains and the sound of birds twittering.

Breakfast was just gorgeous - home made thick sliced toast and muesli, fruit, juice and coffee, all while soaking up the serenity of being out of town. I only wish we'd packed our swimmers so we could have taken advantage of the massive inground pool with rock feature waterfall.

My husband and I only live 10 mins away but I seriously plan on visiting the lodge again soon. It's a paradise away from home and in such close proximity to shops and other attractions. More importantly, John and Cynthia welcomed us in a way that made us feel more like friends than guests and that in itself it priceless.

Room Tip: The views from the bed and breakfast are better than the studios so spend the extra!

Our two day stay at Amamoor was part of a six day Australian Bush Horse Ride with Equathon.
We absolutely loved the B & B Accomodation... opening out onto a beautiful verandah to take in all the country views, watching the parrots and kookaburras feed, horses at play, wallabies and the best beautiful natives in bloom that I have seen.
Cynthia and John were wonderful hosts with delicious food and bush tales galore around the fire. Loved John's Cobb & Co Coach!! Thanks for making our visit special and indeed memorable. I will be telling everyone to stay at Amamoor Lodge.

We are privileged to be part of Equathon's horse riding tour. It is always great to meet people from all over the world as well as Oz. What a fantastic group you were! Hope the memories stay with you for a long time. Best wishes. Cynthia & John
