“Good stay but evening meal problems”
Reviewed November 7, 2012

Nice large modern hotel in a retail shopping park with major shops across the road. Stayed mid week. Room was a bit of a walk from reception (in the 500s) which probably helped make our night quiet - plus heavy quality doors made the room seem quiet. I had one of my best night's sleep ever in a hotel. Reception staff were very cheerful and helpful. It has a good swimmimg pool and gym, with beauty salons and a buzz about the place. Breakfast was superb and 2 helpful (older ) staff were on duty all the time and offered refills.
Only negative for us was the evening meal in the main restaurant. Prices were expensive and under pretense of being a la carte. Unfortunately, the starter was very bland, but worse we waited 45 minutes for the mains and then the food was average and small portions. No apology offered, and they had the cheek to put a hidden fixed gratuity tip on the bill.

Room Tip: Rooms numbered in the 500s are furthest away from reception and so probably quietest but it is a bit...

Last minute booking for a family of 4 in a family room. Saved £18 on the Internet price by phoning reservations and asking for a discount!
Friendly welcome, good sized family room, great pool with hot tub, steam room and sauna. Kids loved the pool. Breakfast fairly good, no complaints. Didn't eat evening meal, try the excellent Haveli Indian Restaurant nearby if you fancy a curry. Would go again for a relaxing family break.

I stayed in a twin rooms, the rooms its self was very spacious and comfy, beds really nice and had a good nights sleep. The bathrooms however in desperate need of a refurb, very old fashion décor, no toiletries just a soap dispenser on the wall. Our bath leaked when you put the shower on and flooded the bathroom, so could really only have a bath (this was not good). Breakfast in the morning was not great either, the toaster wasn’t really working probably so only warmed my bread up, cook breakfast didn’t look very appealing and the service from the staff (who were very young) was great we sat for 5-10 min before having to ask for some tea/coffee, no one offered us any.

All in all not too bad hotel but a few small changes would make a big difference to the standard of this hotel.

We stayed for one night at this hotel and we were upgraded to a family suite. There were two single beds, one double bed and a bed settee. There was a dining room table to seat four and still plenty of space. The bathroom was clean, but did not offer the usual little bottles of shampoo, soap etc, just a soap dispenser on the wall. Not a vast menu choice but I am sure a little something for everyone, but what we had was well presented and cooked. Breakfast was the usual help yourself to full english/friut/cereals/toast. If you eat before 7pm they offer a good deal on a burger meal for 1 to 3 courses which cost £11.95 so not bad value for a hotel chain. The swimming pool was lovely, warm and clean only downside a little limited on times if you wish to use with children. The staff were friendly and helpful, overall a comfortable overnight stay.

Stayed at this hotel for two nights .
Hotel Entrance & Reception ~ looks clean and modern and staff 1st class.

Restaurant (venue) ~ poor food not worth money they charge and drinks cost more than the food.

Rooms~ Desperate for updating not the best room I've stayed in clean and tidy though. No info on what's out and about area

Pool & leisure ~ one word brilliant.

Breakfast ~ great

Would stay again if rooms are updated and more pleasant . Bathroom mainly in room
