I stayed in a twin rooms, the rooms its self was very spacious and comfy, beds really nice and had a good nights sleep. The bathrooms however in desperate need of a refurb, very old fashion décor, no toiletries just a soap dispenser on the wall. Our bath leaked when you put the shower on and flooded the bathroom, so could really only have a bath (this was not good). Breakfast in the morning was not great either, the toaster wasn’t really working probably so only warmed my bread up, cook breakfast didn’t look very appealing and the service from the staff (who were very young) was great we sat for 5-10 min before having to ask for some tea/coffee, no one offered us any.

All in all not too bad hotel but a few small changes would make a big difference to the standard of this hotel.

We stayed for one night at this hotel and we were upgraded to a family suite. There were two single beds, one double bed and a bed settee. There was a dining room table to seat four and still plenty of space. The bathroom was clean, but did not offer the usual little bottles of shampoo, soap etc, just a soap dispenser on the wall. Not a vast menu choice but I am sure a little something for everyone, but what we had was well presented and cooked. Breakfast was the usual help yourself to full english/friut/cereals/toast. If you eat before 7pm they offer a good deal on a burger meal for 1 to 3 courses which cost £11.95 so not bad value for a hotel chain. The swimming pool was lovely, warm and clean only downside a little limited on times if you wish to use with children. The staff were friendly and helpful, overall a comfortable overnight stay.

Restaurant (venue) ~ poor food not worth money they charge and drinks cost more than the food.

We stayed for a night in October at the Village Hotel, we used the Gym, swimming pool and jacuzzi.

Rooms excellent, bed very comfortable. We had Sunday Lunch which was wonderful, we couldn't do it justice, as we are members of the Village we qualified for a 20% discount on our food and drink which was great.

Staff so polite and friendly, would love to go back.

Some parts are good - such as the gym and pool - though they get very busy in the evening.

This is hugely left down the service. The reception staff are painfully slow and really don't seem to care about the guests. Waiting for 45 minutes for starters to arrive in the bar shows how fast things are. Be prepared to constantly chase for any service from anyone.

Food is expensive and not good. The bar menu is uninspiring, while the restaurant is overpriced for what you get.

Room Tip: The family rooms at the back (300 upwards) are much nicer and newer, but be prepared for a long walk...

Recently stayed at De vere village Nottingham on the x2 night bed & breakfast with evening meal offer. The hotel is a lovey place, pool @ jacuzzi really nice. We had asked for red wine & strawberries in our room on arrival and the bowl of strawberries was gorgeous and great value - huge bowl.
The only gripe was the menu in the restaurant, as it really does not have a big choice. The food was lovely & staff friendly.
If you don't want to eat in there is another restaurant 3 min walk away. There is also a small retail shopping centre on the complex, with clothes shops & McDonalds.
