“Wedding on 5th December”
Reviewed December 30, 2012

We held our wedding on 5th December at Comlongon. The day was absolutely fantastic and a fairy tale wedding. The day ran very smoothly thanks to our wedding co-ordinator Ashley. The venue was absolutely stunning and rooms were fantastic. The food was delicious. What made the day extra special was Molly the Owl as our ring bearer and the fire works at the end of the day. I'm not sure if the DJ will forgive us though for our attempt at a scottish reel - our dancing was chaotic but the kids and adults had great fun.

Thank you so much to the staff and suppliers at Comlongon for making our wedding day so special.

We had our wedding ceremony here on the 19th December... Absolutely fabulous!!!!! we didnt stay, but the whole ceremony was A1... the attention to detail was out of this world... from the arrival with a traditional piper, to the great hall with its roaring log fire, and candles galore

Dear Reviewer,
Thank you. We organise weddings every day of the year and do to our popularity, often guests cannot stay. However if you have booked through an agent it is often worthwhile contacting us direct to see if we do have accommodation-often we can help!

We attended our friends' wedding here and it was just the most amazing time. The staff were absolutely lovely, helpful and friendly, the food was out of this world and our room was gorgeous with a stunning view over the gardens. The bed was soooooo comfortable :) The decor and grounds are just beautiful and it is big enough for an impact but small enough to be intimate and cozy. An amazing place to hold a wedding, I can't recommend them enough!

Room Tip: Choose a room with a view over the gardens - the rooms on the other side of the castle overlook the...

Dear Reviewer, Thank you for your comments. Organising a wedding is not just about making sure the Bride and groom have the perfect day; it’s about ensuring every guest has the best party they have attended for a long time-that’s what we do.

We held our Wedding Reception at Comlongon Castle on 2nd November 2012. The venue was stunning, very romantic and full of character. We had a wonderful evening, as did our 110 guests. The staff were amazing and couldn't do enough for us. We had a 'hog roast' which was absolutely delicious, followed by a spectacular display of fireworks. We also stayed in the Honeymoon Lodge which was amazing! We would highly recommend this incredible castle to anyone looking for a venue for their special day. We would like to say a huge 'THANK YOU' to Phil, the Owner, and all of the staff, for making our wedding reception a truly memorable evening. Thank you so much.

Dear Reviewer,
Thank you for your comments. Doing this every day we can lose sight of what we do and take this as a job. When we receive reviews such as this we are reminded we are organising the most important day of a couples lives.
The hog roast seems to be a very popular option for larger weddings at the moment and is a very cool option, rather than a traditional buffet.
Thank you

We got married here on the 25th October 2012. From start to finish the whole experience was wonderful. The castle, gardens, staff, food, decor all brilliant. They even provided us with glorious sunshine for our 2 day stay. Special thank you also to all the suppliers recommended by the Castle - Rainbow Sugarcraft for the Cake, Barbara for Beauty & Make Up and Leigh for hair, Blooms for the flowers. All our memories of the day have been expertly captured by Tom & Sandra Bonnar Photography. Wonderful experience and memories we will treasure forever - Thanks! I'm dropping hints to my husband already about a return visit for our anniversary.

We've got married on 19th October 2012 at this spectacular and very special place. We took 33 guests to Comlongon Castle and we were treated like royalty. The staff were incredibly pleasant and very professional and helped to make it a dream come true. Special thanks must go to Alex, Ashleigh, Afric and Carol who looked after our every need.
We did the clay pigeon shooting which was awesome, so thanks to Tom and his wife.
On the first night we had the pig roast, which was delicious and on our wedding night we had the 6 course banquet - thank you to the Chefs, you guys were awesome.
We had the singing waiters and again, they were brilliant and it was such an amazing treat for everyone.
Thank you to the team at Comlongon, you guys did us proud and we will be back to celebrate our anniversary.

Room Tip: The Honeymoon suites that overlook the gardens are the best rooms.

Dear Reviewer, thank you for this. The best way to experience what we provide is to stay for two days, which allows clients to book far more facilities, such as clay shooting; but this does increase costs. Every wedding we do is bespoke and each client is unique.
Certain things we provide are almost unique, the hog roast proves very popular; a very informal menu option. The singing waiters are absolutely fantastic and well worth the expense, an option you would never consider for any other event, but one you will remember for the rest of your life.
Anyway, thank you for your very kind comments. We hope to see you again.

We had our wedding at Comlongon Castle on 2nd September 2012 and was fantastic. Our guests enjoyed themselves as much as we did. The staff were wonderful, especially Alex and Ashley. The piper was fantastic and our photographers Sandra and Tom made our day complete, would recommend them for a wedding at Comlongon.

Dear Reviewer, thank you for you kind comments. As most who read these reviews and replies know, we not only specialise in weddings and celebrations, but provide farcicalities for any sort of party. It was only the other day when someone asked me how long we had been doing this and I replied “about 20 years” when I realised they were here for their 25th wedding anniversary. It’s made me realise we have been doing this for nearly 3 decades.
All staff here are expert at what we do; which is to deliver the best you can expect, often to exceed it.
Reviews such as this are a reason we do not need to advertise.
Thank you.
