“Fine Dining not at this country club”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 27, 2013

We called ahead to make reservations for four...told they did not take reservations except for parties of 8...fine dining?....said the wait should not be that long...arrived at 5:30...told 1 1/2 hour wait...asked for a table in the porch area of the restaurant...after the buzzer went off for our party..we where taken to a table next to a wall near the bar...not the porch...had been told that a party took our table...by mistake..the manager had to be brought into the picture because the two women at the desk had a problem with each other and could not deal with the situation correctly. we at this point just wanted to eat...the manager came over and apologized and said a round of drinks where on the house...ok ...next we had a woman clear the table of all the plates and did so as if we had sat at IHOP...the waiter came and took our orders and did so with a haughty attitude that would have been in a cartoon with the likes of felix the cat...the evening had been one of hoping that we would have a fine dining experience in a very nice country club...my mother purchased a very nice home in the villages and we wanted to have places to go for dress up occasions...we are very dissapointed that Nancy Lopez has lent her name to such a mediocre restaurant...the staff 1/2 of them left at 9 pm...when we walked out there wasn't even a person at the desk to say enjoy your evening and come back again...fine dining maybe they need to go into Tampa or Orlando and see how staff should be...for fine dining at this Legacy restaurant is a joke

“Not as expected”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 17, 2013

So many nice places to eat in the Villages , this would not be my first choice. Three of us ordered a cup of crab soup to accompany our half sandwich lunch, the soup was luke warm and not appealing . Husbands sandwich was overdone Roast beef on a half pita, I had turkey on toasted raisin bread. My sandwich was suppose to have cranberry and cream cheese, could not taste the spreads. Not a great lunch ...

“One Fine Restaurant”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 28, 2013

The best restaurant in the area. Steaks are from Harris Ranch Calif, the soups are the best I've ever had and terriffic service. One of the best lunch menu's in The Villages. Our favorite place to go. Only negative is that it tends to be noisy when crowded which is most of the time.

“The perfect combination”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 22, 2013

We've eaten here twice...once for their lobster and steak special evening and once for Valentine Day. We were seated promptly, and our waiter/waitress were prompt and attentive on both occasions. You can run a tab at the bar and take your drink outside if you choose...good drinks by friendly bar staff. Our meals on both occasions were superb. Wait staff obligingly subbed baked spud for the garlic mashed, and offered a different veggie for those not liking asparagus. Also on both occasions they had plenty of wait staff to attend to our table...keeping water glasses filled and removing used dinner ware. Xavier was especially attentive and is a prime waiter, if you care to ask for one of his tables. This is a first class Villages restaurant with reasonable prices for the quality and experience they provide. If you can only go to one country club in The Villages, consider this one first.

“Favorite restaurant in The Villages, Florida”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 15, 2013

Bar none, this is the best restaurant within the large retirement community called "The Villages". Most of the more than 90 plus restaurants in The Villages are chains. This place has actual fine dining food, although a tad pricey. I save it for special occasions. The service is just as good as the food. The atmosphere is, of course, "Country Club" because it is within a country club. You can dine in casual attire, but many people also dress up. You may have difficulty getting in during snowbird season, unless you go very early or past 7:30 pm. Try to get a seat on the dining porch to have a nice view of the golf course. There is a lively bar area and it can be noisy in the evenings. If you would like to dine quietly, again, ask for the porch or a room furthest away from the bar area.
