well we arrived and ask for a quiet area they seted us on the inside towards the front window. the server was there right-a way and took our drink order and made us aware of the days specials.
She returned with our drinks and we ordered. It was a short time later our food came out and it was HOT right from the kitchen. Our server Joyce came back checked on us several times and refilled our drinks . What more could you want.

“We thought it was good....”
Reviewed February 15, 2014 via mobile

Made it to Cody's this visit, ran out of time last September. It was just as we expected, a lot of people eating, talking and enjoying their meal. Seemed to be be a good group at the bar enjoying themselves. We got just what we asked for and off we went for a tour of the Villages. Place might not be perfect, but we enjoyed it.

“We don't get it. We just don't get it.”

The place is not very clean. The staff do the minimum, but served up with a portion of attitude. The food is less than average. We gave it several visits before making up our minds.

“Relax on the water.”
Reviewed February 4, 2014

The food at this Cody's seems to be better than the one in Ocala. Prime Rib is very good. Garlic chicken wings are very tasty. Sides are made well. Drink deals are great. They really cater to Senior citizens, Eating outside by the lake is a treat. I go back whenever I'm in the area.

“Tender lamb shank-what there was of it”
Reviewed January 30, 2014

Who expects lamb shank in a "roadhouse"? Served with a rich carrot laden sauce and roasted garlic mashed potato. Shank was tender and unfussed-with. The flavor was left to stand-up for itself. Despite it's generous flavor, it was a small portion. Due to Its small size it was maybe a $ 13 leg, not a $ 15 leg. The leg bones made the joint look big, although it held maybe four ounces of meat.
The baked potato soup suffered from cloying rue syndrome. Big bowl salad was O.K., but the bleu cheese dressing was diluted by the greens not being well drained. Yeast biscuits tender and mildly flavored with a sweetness and served with an intrusive cinnamon compound butter.
