Cottage just as advertised in a beautiful location owner very friendly and helpful we had a welcome pack on arrival which was very nice the interior of the cottage was designed to a great standard I only have one word to say homely plenty of places a short walk away for drinks and food both eat in and takeaway and if you like seaside walks and beautiful scenery looking across the Solway this is for you only downside was the weather but this had no effect on a fantastic break.

We had a great stay at Captain's Cottage and everything was wonderful from the minute we walked in and found a welcome pack of goodies! The cottage was very clean and comfortable, nicely decorated and furnished and very well equipped. The wood burner was great on a couple of cooler evenings. Great view from the side window right over the beach too. The only thing that would have improved it would have been a wi fi connection, but apart from that, it was fantastic! All in all a great stay!

We stayed at the cottage for a family birthday. We also went to Maryport for the indoor Karting attraction. Loveley unspoilt area excellent cycle route. The view out of the window over the sea was very special and the sunset amazing. The cottage was decorated to an exceptional standard,it was home as soon as you walked through the door. We would thoroughly recomend this cottage as it is also close to the Lake District.

“Fantastic weekend”

Fantastic weekend
We booked into the cottage as we were attending a gin and whiskey soul night at the food festival in cockermouth
The weather was great all weekend, we enjoyed the festival at cockermouth but the cottage just made it a perfect weekend
Everything we needed in the cottage, we had, even sunbeds in September, which we used twice.
Sadly it was to warm to make use of the wood burner.
The new bike path, that takes you right along to Maryport had just been opened, we should have taken our bikes.
If you are looking for a base for visiting the lakes and making the most of this sea view, then I couldn't recommend anywhere better
