This is a roomy, light and comfortable base from which to explore both the Suffolk coast and countryside. Our main reason for booking was the proximity to Aldeburgh and Southwold, and also to use as a base to explore the county by e-bike. Sandra and Steve made us very welcome and provided secure storage for our e-bikes which we didn't want to leave outside. The beds and furniture were very comfortable and the house well equipped. This is an ideal property for a couple, or two couples sharing. Although only just off the busy A12, traffic noise was never an issue, and the side road opposite gave access to the network of quiet country lanes without ever having to venture on to the A12 with our bikes. We had a very enjoyable stay and would happily book again for another enjoyable week's cycling.
The owners were very welcoming. The accommodation was excellent; a real "home away from home" kind of place it was well equipped, comfy beds and immaculately clean. The location was ideal; within easy distance of pubs, restaurants etc. We would like to thank Sandra for her hospitality, and we will be back again soon.
We spent three nights at Greenacres, and it was just perfect!
Easy to find, and despite being on the main road, the thick walls and double glazing meant we could not hear the traffic at all, we could have been 5 miles from the nearest road.
The cottage was very well laid out and had all the amenities we needed; good shower, comfy beds, plush towels, fully equipped kitchen, tv with many channels, and a variety of quiz-based board games!
Great location for visiting the sights and sounds of Suffolk, many within a thirty minute drive from Greenacres.
Sandra and Steve made us feel very welcome, and we highly recommend a stay at Greenacres.
My partner and I stayed at Greenacres with a couple of friends over New Year's Eve. Sandra made us feel very welcome, giving us directions and helpful information before we arrived. This rental is located in small village with a rustic Suffolk pub serving wholesome food about 15 minute walk away. A car would be recommended though as we were able to visit lots of surrounding towns easily. Aldeburgh and Southwold seperately, around 15-20mins drive. And saxmundham 5 mins away with Tesco and Waitrose for food supplies. We bought fresh fish off the seafront one day and took it back to cook. We were very impressed by how well stocked the kitchen is, it has everything you could need and all in great working order. The beds were lovely and comfy and soft towels were provided. The apartment had a modern, clean vibe to it, overall we were very impressed and would definitely stay again.
We had a very friendly welcome on arrival. The property was well appointed, light and beautifully furnished. It had everything we needed for a short stay. Would highly recommend and look forward to visiting again in the future!
Had a very enjoyable few days break here. Lovely clean and tidy cottage in excellent location for exploring the local Suffolk area. Owners Sandra and her husband both very friendly and helpful. Our dog loved it as well!
We spent a very relaxing and enjoyable few days here.
The cottage is very well equipped and kitted out to a high standard. It is located in a very peaceful part of the country with many local attractions and locations.
It is pet friendly and highly suitable for a small family or two couples. The excellent kitchen facilities enable meals to be prepared on site but with many local pubs and restaurants, there are many opportunities to enjoy dining out.
I highly recommend a stay here, it will not disappoint...
