We chose this casa rurale becuase it was one of the Posadas del Camino, which we had used along the camino and found very lovely. This establishment was the same. We didn't realise it was 4km out of Samos, but a local cafe owner phoned them for us and they came to pick us up. The owners were very pleasant. We had dinner and breakfast there and were happy with both. The house has been restored, including the gardens and it was delightful.

We were quite delighted to come across this utterly delightful place to stay, very close to the Camino and yet very private. Charming hosts who spoke very little English but could not have been more helpful. An absolute treat to stay in such a beautiful old house which had clearly been in the family for generations and was much loved, along with its gorgeous gardens and stunning views. Thoroughly recommend.

Room Tip: Rooms on the first floor are traditionally furnished, spacious and each with glorious views. The se...

This was a hotel selected for us on a self guided cycling tour along the Camino. The hotel is a renovated 17th Century Farm House and has a lot of rustic charm. The bedrooms are well appointed and have a private bathroom. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the hosts eager to please. We had a little trouble communicating as there were no English speaking people at reception but this did not detract from our experience at all.
The extensive gardens on the property are magnificent and have been planned to provide multiple areas for guests to utilise. There are free range hens and geese in cordoned off areas which add to the charm and character of the place.
We ate in the restaurant and the meal was magnificent. Three courses, very fresh, very tasty and in total a very generous meal serving.
To top it off it has a large in ground pool that really helped us cool off on a hot day.
Highly Recommended.
No WiFi available that we could find.

Room Tip: We were given a room not in the main part of the hotel but in a separate building that included the...

We are doing a 6 day bike ride on the Camino Trail. This hotel was booked as a part of our tour. Our ride today was a short one, so we had a whole afternoon to enjoy this delightful Casa. The gardens surrounding the house are absolutely gorgeous, our bedroom is very comfortable, and the house is furnished in a very traditional style, with antique furniture, lovely tapestries and paintings. It is quiet and tranquil and a swim in the pool during the hot afternoon was lovely. Our dinner of Mixed Salad, Casserole of Chicken and Tarte de Santiago was absolutely delicious. Highly recommended.

This is a beautiful historic farmhouse-turned-hotel 300 m (less than 1/4 mile) off the Camino de Santiago, in a serene and peaceful setting. It is in the Vilacha area of Samos, 5K (about 3 miles) from the Benedictine Monastery so it is NOT in the main part of town. So if you plan on staying here while walking the Camino, you must hike 5K past Samos, and exit the Camino between Teigun and Aian. A wooden sign will point you in the right direction. Otherwise you will need a car or taxi to shuttle you to the main part of town.

It is very quiet, conducive to strolling amongst the flowers taking photos, conversing with the geese, or sitting contentedly pondering life. The stone buildings with red doors are blanketed in ivy and nestled in stunning blue hydrangea blooms in July. Although rustic and centuries old, the facility is immaculate and charming, and very reasonably priced. The owners were courteous and friendly, and were very willing to adapt to whatever experience I wanted to have during my stay. Since I had just come from off of 3 airplanes, 2 buses, and 1 taxi to get there and was pretty exhausted, they seemed to just vanish and let me rest and stroll about the grounds of my own accord. However, they were also quick to invite me to use the pool or have them cook me a meal for dinner if I desired. This is the kind of place that asks you if you want breakfast or dinner and when, and they have it all ready when you show up.

The bedroom was clean and comfortable. A small flat screen TV was in the room, which seemed out of place, but a nice amenity I suppose for some, if you really want to break the serenity and beauty of the moment with modern TV programming. A wonderful continental breakfast was available in the morning: a variety of delicious sweet cakes and pastries, yogurt, boiled eggs, fruit, and cafe con leche that was out of this world! The property is protected by a high wall and security gate, so it's not the kind of place you would just wander onto unannounced. Since I was just passing through the area at the time, I did not get to enjoy all of the amenities but it definitely rated high on my list and I would stay again if I had the chance.

I stay there for 1 night.
The house, not being from a very high class (not a palace) is a nice house and have some charm.
The decoration specially the wash room and bedroom could be of a better taste.
The common areas is nice a petty that on the middle of nowhere there is niot a real bar as the dinning room is very pleasant.
It has a swimming pool that I haven't tried.
It is ok if the price is the same as I paid, 28 euros + breakfast.

Wow. A beautiful 17th century farmhouse, charming hosts, lovely comfortable rooms, good food, fabulous views, a pool. This was the best place we stayed in our 3 week holiday through Spain, and it was cheap. We actually felt bad paying so little given that our experience was so fantastic. Juan and Eduardo are wonderful hosts and we are sorry we couldn't stay longer.
