My partner and son dropped in for lunch and were straight away drawn to the warmth of the fire on a really dismal cold day.
We ordered burgers for ourselves and fish bites for our fussy son. The presentation of all our meals was amazing and they tasted equally as good!! Our son actually got stuck into his which was a treat for us.
I would recommend this place to anyone and look forward to returning for their pizza or roast nights they advertise!

I work in a service industry and when I come across bad service it really hits me. Our family were driving through the Atherton Tableland at around 1.30pm and stopped for lunch. We were pretty hungry and from the road, the teahouse looked inviting with it's pretty verandah & garden. It looked less appealing the closer we got, with shabby peeling paint, ugly signage and decor that looked like something you'd see in a nursing home. We asked if we could sit on the empty verandah and were told it was fully booked. We took a seat on the table in the yard. Ordered 3 sandwiches and a toasted focaccia - except there was no Turkish bread or focaccia. We were told this was because it was still baking (at 1.30pm??) OK. We ordered bread rolls instead, and despite making quite simple filling choices had to repeat our order three times to two people and when they arrived, one was wrong. The staff seemed not at all interested in serving us. The gentleman who took our money complained to his coworkers that he "shouldn't have to do this - I'm the chef". When our two coffees were brought to our table, there were no spoons or sugar. We asked if we could have some sugar and the waitress brought some and then went back to get spoons. When she delivered them she said "Do you want anything else while I'm going backwards and forwards a million times?". The food was fine. But it
was a long wait and the surliness of staff left us slightly speechless. As we were leaving, a tour bus containing 40-odd passengers piled in for their verandah booking - which explained the situation I think. The proprietors of this place don't care about attracting or looking after customers because they don't have to. They have deals with tour operators to provide a bulk booking everyday. Don't arrive for lunch and expect to sit anywhere nice or get decent service.
