S10 entrance. Cameras not allowed. There is a safety deposit room outside at the bottom of the building which stores phones and cameras etc. for free whilst you go in (bring ID as they use this as a security measure to make sure they return the right things to the right people - you also get a ticket).
Really good displays and information. Would definitely recommend going.
We went as part of a tour and it was one of three museums we visited in a day (also went to Brunning and the Huaca Rajada museum). This was definitely the best.

When I think of good museums, I generally think classic or modern art in the Parises,New Yorks, or Romes. But the truth is, walking through this was one of the most enlightening, enjoyable, and impressive museum experiences I've had.

Plain and simple, Senor de Sipan was a baller. This was all about his civilization and how we was honored in death with an incredible tomb. They have a life-sized model of what it looked like, and I'm not going to give anything away, but the guy went out in style. Get an early breakfast at the Chiclayo market, hop on a combi, and see this museum - you won't be disappointed!

This is a wonderful museum that is definitely worth a visit.

When going expect to pay around 25$ if you want an English speaking guide.

Also no cell phones or cameras are allowed inside, but there is a very secure room to drop them off and retrieve later.

The exhibits and artifacts are truly amazing.

I'm hoping in the future, they add self-guided tours, but its great as is.

Plan on about 90 minutes for the tour.

This national museum is truely a treasure! The Lord of Sipan has been called "The King Tut of Peru". The museum is filled with fantastic artifacts from the tomb. The museum itself is very well done...world class!

This national museum is fantastic! The Lord of Sipan has been called the "King Tut of Peru" and it's really true. So much incredible gold, stunning pottery, amazing artifacts! This is a world-class museum and is worth the trip to Chiclayo to see. If you're going to Peru, you don't want to miss it!
