The hotel suggested we try the restaurant. They telephoned a d we got picked up in a little tuk tuk. Great fun. We got to the restaurant and our table was on the beach. It was a lovely setting and very romantic with candal lite and the sea

We choice a set menu which gave us various different dishes to try and as this was our first night in Thailand a great idea to get the taste

The food was excellent. Service was good and atmosphere was lovely. The owner Colin walked round to check everything was. Ok and it was nice to have a chat with him

I would certainly recommend great to be picked up and dropped off and special to eat on the beach. We will return!!!

The location is the thing that brings us back to this restaurant.

The food is lovely, but the prices are expensive by Samui standards. Think they are raking in the popularity!

It is a place to sit, watch the ferries and boats and just chill out.

What a deception! when we got there the staff is at the bar and talked and does not accommodate you, you have to go and ask if they serve lunch since there was nobody.
Menu price of a 5 star, adding 10% service charge, but not a 5 star service and no managing, nothing original menu for a restaurant. Group peicheur by side with TV radio or preventing a strong relaxation sought staff talking loudly at the bar ... finally disappointment!

We visited this restaurant years ago immediately after it had opened. We were struck by the location which whilst remote is truly amazing tucked away on a sandy beach with few neighbours other than local fishermen. Beach dining is a wonderful experince for us from colder climes and 5 Islands has bags of room for its guests who are not packed like sardines.

For us the problem is the food. It's unimganative and merely does poorly what the average Thai family restaurant does so much better at a third the price. Deep fried fish was over cooked and almost taste free. Oz beef was tender but needed a taste transplant. BBQ chicken starter was beautifully cooked and for me the item I enjoyed.

Clearly the place is catering for predominantly Europeans who in general have "chili issues" but it would be nice in a Thai restaurant if Thai food was at least an offered option.

Too expensive for the provided fare, slight staff confusion with order we placed and overall our last visit

Absolutely amazing, the food was great , the staff were friendly but a little slow. The view is to die for watching the sun fall on the beach over the water, with the islands in view was beautiful. Defiantly recommend a visit.... Very reasonable prices too ! :)
