Great ambience, right next to beach, cordial and trained staff and yummy food with multiple choice both local and international. It has a wonderful pool and the gardens are well kept. Vicinity to a paddy field makes this place even more beautiful. The rooms are beautifully done and the bathrooms are spacious. Their wood oven pizza was hit among kids.

Got a very good rate from the hotel. My trip was in July so there were not many people on the beach. The hotel has access to the beach through a private pathway. Nice pool with a lifeguard. Room was bright clean and spacious. Good air-conditioning.
All the staff i came across were friendly and courteous. Nicely done dining area. Items in the menu were Ok.
What i really liked was the breakfast. Fairly good spread and the with daily variations . There were veg items and non-veg items like salami, bacon and sausages.. Both dosas and puris made to order by the chef.. The home-made pineapple jam was delicious.Fresh fruits and fruit juices But what made my mouth water was the omelette with a dollop of butter.

We stayed at the property for a night and it was an amazing experience. The place has a private access to the beach. We did go in the monsoon season which is why the beachfront restaurant was closed. But it hardly makes any difference. The place is stunning. The swimming pool is its USP . And the overlooking green fields (in the monsoons) just add extra points.
The staff is very courteous . Not only the reception staff and the bus boys , but also their life guard is very friendly and helpful. He agreed to teach me how to swim if I stayed for one more day . Only if I could !!
The food is quite on point. We could not indulge in everything but the pizza was delicious and the breakfast they serve is yummy!
They have an access to Colva beach , which is one of the few good and clean beaches left in Goa.
They have maintained the place well. The rooms are very spacious. And ours (on the second floor) had a balcony with a nice view of palm trees. I will visit again for sure.
Also, yes they do have construction work being done. There is noise of drills and machines working (only in the day time). But it hardly causes any problem and can be easily overlooked.

This was a family trip for four of us. First of all the Good points : The location of the Hotel is good - very close to the beach - We walked across and enjoyed the serenity at of the location - The Front office and other staff were polite and courteous - The food was decent- The pool is well maintained and clean - the Housekeeping was efficient:
Bad Points : The main door of the room and the door of the toilet have swollen due to water absorption and it required Herculean efforts to close it - There was no water in the Toilets all through the night till about 9.00 am on our first day and the same story was repeated on other days- The bar on the beach front was closed-
Since we had gone to enjoy and spend quality time with our son we did not allow these issues to bother us. We enjoyed our stay.
The General manager of the Hotel was apologetic and was doing his best to resolve the water problem.

Room tip: Check whether water problem has been resolved before booking here.

A few reviews before this one there was one saying that Beleza had building works going on and it seriously affected the holiday. I emailed the hotel beforehand to ask if there was anything happening and if it would affect our stay. I was assured absolutely not. On all websites the beach bar is a pretty big selling point for this property. It was closed. The gym advertised on their website - closed. The spa - closed. And there were noisy building works going on every day, which were a fairly awful soundtrack to any pool time. I asked to speak to the hotel manager as we had still payed full rate for our stay, his response was to say all bars in Goa have to close during the wet season (hmmm, all the bars in Calangute and Baga were open!) and the website was ‘being updated’. He had no comment on the building works, but to put it in perspective the hotel currently has around 50 rooms and is building another 50. Fairly significant really. At this point there are shabby corrugated metal panels shielding the ‘new’ site which is next to the pool. If that doesn’t ruin the view enough there are also building works at the end of the pool wrapped in green dust sheets which will nicely obscure your view of the paddy fields.
We were offered an hours massage as ‘compensation’, despite politely asking outright for some of our money back having paid full rate for 3 nights. Hmmmmm!

Dear Claire C

We are sorry about the experience you have had at Beleza. It is our utmost endeavour to send home happy guests.

Our beach front Nazaré is shut during the monsoons as we are given only a seasonal licence by the Government to run it. The gym is under renovation as you rightly read on our website. Our new spa is also going to be ready in 2 months. We do have spa services available at the moment which you have used. As for the noise, we try to restrict it to certain hours of the day so that there is enough respite for our guests. The sheeting is put up to cut the noise and keep the dust away. Our Paddy Bar is also getting equipped which will be open all year long. We try our best to not cause any inconvenience to our guests during their stay with us.

We do hope that you plan another visit to Goa soon and consider staying with us again. We assure you that we will present the best in class service and facilities to you once all our facilities are renovated and fully operational.

With best regards,
Team @ Beleza by the beach, Goa
