We stayed at Toomer Farm for two nights to attend a friend's wedding. The owners are very welcoming, the beds really comfortable and the breakfasts, which are served in the elegant dining room, are excellent. The only negative we have is that we had read other reviews saying there was a mini fridge in the room, but ours didn't have one and the en-suite was tiny with very low water pressure on the cold tap side.

Quiet and cosy B&B, dont expect mod-con hotel style facilities, however it was warm, provided comfort and the breakfast was good. Again, nothing out of the world but good. Its surrounded by a farm, hence the name, and looking out of the windows gives some really good views.

Toomer Farm is set in a peaceful location, surrounded by 500 acres of rolling farmland.
The house itself is grand yet homely. We were greeted by 2 little Pug Jack Russell cross dogs who were very friendly.
The rooms are very spacious and quiet. The beds are very comfy ( we had trouble getting up).
The full English breakfast was delicious!!
We took home 4 jars of homemade jam which was delicious. These were made by the owners sister... who makes the nicest marmalade I have ever tasted.
The owners are warm and welcoming and happy to chat to you about the history of the farm and the surrounding area. Overall a super stay.

My husband and I were attending a farmers supper at a venue in Dorset and needed somewhere to stay for the night,as home was too far to drive back to after the meal.
Googling places to stay Toomer Farm came up.As soon as I saw it I knew that's the place for us.My husband being a farmer and me into equestrian, it was perfect. From speaking on the phone to the welcome we had, we felt right at home.Meeting Sheena and Peter, felt like visiting family members not a bed and breakfast.
We hadn't even seen the room at this point. The house and our room was decorated to a very high standard and great facilities inc a mini fridge, free view television (which my husband was pleased about, as the rugby was on!) As well as tea, coffee and an iron.Plus great views overlooking the stables and there was the sweetest shetland laying in the sun. Early evening we went downstairs and the drawing room fire had been lit for us. Sheena and Peter came in to see if all was alright and ended up chatting to them for a wee while before heading off out. When we returned quite late that evening we were met with a friendly smile and were asked if we had had a good evening. The next morning we got up and went for a walk around the property, gorgeous gardens and a great cross country course to walk.We then went in for breakfast which included everything from cereal, fruit juice, home made bread, tea, you name it, it was there.we were then asked if we would like a full English ....WOW best breakfast I have had in a long time, locally sourced produce fresh eggs sausages bacon fried bread, didn't need lunch that's for sure. Time to check out and my husband and I really didn't want to leave, again we had a chat with Sheena and Peter in their kitchen and felt like saying goodbye to friends we had been staying with.
I know this sounds a rather gushing review, but having two young children (who stayed with their granny)at home and we haven't been away for a while, we couldn't have asked for a better place to say and such kind and generous hospitality. We are now looking forward to staying at Toomer Farm in the summer with our two young boys and do some local site seeing.Thank you Sheena and Peter x Izzy and Jason Harrison-Butler Surrey

Beautiful farm house, great rooms and a short walk to the local pub with well-kept ales. The hosts were friendly and provided great food to boot - including top packed-lunches.

We stayed for a night on our way to South Devon. A Lovely farm up a splendid drive with horses training in the field, beautiful views of the countryside and a warm welcome on arrival. The rooms were very comfortable with TV, tea and coffee making facilities and even a small fridge. We were asked what time we would like breakfast in the morning and when we came down, our table was waiting with juices, fruit and cereal already out. Teas and coffees were bought out along with the best cooked breakfast we've had in a long time. The fried bread was to die for.
Thank you.
