“lovely quiet spot on doorstep of stunning countryside”
Reviewed April 21, 2017 for a stay in April 2017

Very easy booking and payment process. Rachel was a friendly host and helpful with local places to visit/eat. The shepherd's hut was spotless and had everything we needed in a small space. I was surprised we had electricity and delighted there was no tv, making for a relaxing and tranquil break. We listened to the church bells through the open window on Weds night, reading our books and drinking a glass of wine! The Peak District was beautiful and plenty to keep us busy, just not enough time!

“Totally Unique. A little piece of heaven”
Reviewed April 21, 2017 for a stay in April 2017

This part of the Derbyshire countryside is a world away from the hussle of life in the city of Sheffield our home town. The hut was so tranquil with Rachel thinking of everything you may need, even down to a torch and umberella, should you need to go out in the night. A lovely friendly welcome, but time on our own just to be and catch up on the Sunday papers! Breakfast was delicious and no hassle to cater for a Gluten free diet. Would definitely recommend x

“Cosy retreat”
Reviewed April 10, 2017 for a stay in April 2017

Thoroughly enjoyed my weekend break in The Hut with my husband. It was very welcoming and fitted out beautifully. Rachel had thought of everything to make our stay comfortable and relaxing. The breakfast hampers were a lovely addition.
Eyam and the surrounding area is glorious. We were lucky enough to enjoy fabulous weather which topped off the whole experience.
Rachel recommended a couple of local pubs that served first rate food and beer. We will definitely be back!

“Great little getaway”
Reviewed April 8, 2017 for a stay in April 2017

Me and my partner stopped here for my birthday and I couldn't have been happier with our way. We stopped at the hut for two nights but could have quite easily stopped for longer. Cosy, warm and a gorgeous setting.

The surrounding area's are beautiful with lots of little towns and places to explore, you feel like your a million miles away from home.

Fantastic shower room which was absolutely spotless! (as well as the hut)
Rachel is a wonderful host, she's just a knock away if you need anything but never in the way at all which is what we were worried about when stopping on someone's property!

10/10 from us and we will definitely be back :)

An absolute gem of a place to stay. The hut has everything you could possibly need and is so quaint and romantic. Lots of extra touches makes it even more special.

“Short stay in the hut”
Reviewed March 20, 2017 for a stay in March 2017

Stayed for one night at Thehuteyam as a stop gap between visiting Peak District and on to Manchester.

We agree with all the other reviews, amazing stay and were made most welcome by Rachel! The hut was very clean, well designed and the use of the wood stove for the cold, wet weather we had was perfect! Would stay again for sure.
