“Lovely well appointed cottage”
Reviewed May 30, 2015 for a stay in May 2015

The owners were really lovely and very helpful, I can't thank them enough for taking their time to show the children the farm animals, the children thought it was just the best place ever! The Cottage great and had everything we needed. Within a short walk (5-10 minutes) is a great park for small children, Eyam Hall and the village centre. Lovely cottage, lovely village.

“Highly recommended”
Reviewed May 17, 2015 for a stay in April 2015

Our girls' weekend away was wonderful. The cottage was very cosy and the fresh eggs and homemade bread left on the kitchen table for our arrival were a lovely touch. Jo and Matt, the owners, couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. Jo really included us in farm life, we bottle fed a couple of the lambs and even helped to deliver one (unintentionally!) - a great experience. Eyam is a very pretty village and a lovely place to explore in its own right, it's also a great base from which to discover what the rest of the Peak District has to offer. Enjoy! We'd all love to return.

“Fabulous break in the peak district”
Reviewed April 6, 2015 for a stay in April 2015

Wonderful time with my wife and young daughter who is nearly 1 year. Jo the owner of the farm just up the track, really looked after us - the cot, high chair and stair gates were all organised for us and we had fun every day feeding the animals. Fantastic experience for our daughter and great fun for us too!
Thoroughly recommend the cottage as a country retreat.

“lovely, cosy, dog friendly cottage, with helpful friendly owners”
Reviewed March 6, 2015 for a stay in February 2015

My partner and I stayed at East View with our 2 dogs and had a lovely stay. The cottage is very cosy, so a perfect place to come back to after our long walksin the snow. The cottage is very dog friendly. Jo the owner couldn't have been more helpful and friendly. We bought some amazing lamb and a pheasant from her (and she even provided a recipe). Lovely walks right from the doorstep.

“A wonderful half term break”
Reviewed February 17, 2015 for a stay in February 2015

The village is picturesiqe and set in the hills of ths peak district. The cottage itself is quaint yet has every mod con-dishwasher, smart tv, range cooker etc. Cosy inside with two open fires and window seats in every room. You wont be disapointed. We arrived to a loaf of homemade bread and farm fresh eggs. Plenty to do in the area. Worth downloading the Eyam treasure hunt taking you round the village with the end at the Minors Arms lovely roast on a sunday. Bakewell, Buxton, Mansfield, chesterfeild and Matlock Baths all worth a day out too.

“Perfect Cottage for a rural break”
Reviewed January 26, 2015 for a stay in January 2015

Me and my boyfriend stayed here 22nd-25th January and had a great time! The cottage was clean, warm and had everything you would need for your stay (big kitchen which was a novelty for us!). Jo the owner lives in the farmhouse just up the track so she popped round to ensure we had everything we needed.

Fresh bread and eggs were in the kitchen upon arrival and both the fires made up ready to go. We were provided with 2 OS maps of the area as well as a detailed guide showing local restaurants/ amenities and recommended pubs to visit etc,

We visited Bakewell town/village (highly recommended) and walked around Chatsworth Manor park one afternoon (1000 acress of parkland with lots of deer). We also did a 4 hour walk starting from Hope Valley (small village nearby) via Castleton and along Mam Tor which had great scenery.

We loved the Packhorse Inn pub (about a 10min drive away) - great beer, food and welcoming staff. We went back 2/3 nights as it was so good! They have a Buffalo burger which was a bit different and tasty!

All in all we had a great time and we would definitely recommend this cottage for anyone looking for a quiet break in the Peak District.
