“Great centre for a holiday”
Reviewed 3 weeks ago for a stay in July 2018

This house was good value and was well situated for touring the Peak District. 15 minutes from Chesterfield, 10 minutes from Bakewell meant that all your needs are easily met. House is relatively small but was fine for us - a family of four. Cooking can only take place on an aga which some may not like but having grown up with a range was no problem at all. Wardrobe full of games and jigsaws was great for the kids and therefore us.

Thank you for the review. Although the village can get very busy with people going to the museum, St Lawrence Church and Saxon Cross, Eyam Hall and the craft centre I think it feels very quiet and peaceful because the cottage walls are so thick and it is just that little bit set back from the road. Also thank you so much for leaving the place so clean and tidy - much appreciated! Hope to welcome you back some time ..... but don't leave it 20+ years this time!

“comfortable,quirky cottage.”
Reviewed August 7, 2017 for a stay in July 2017

Good base for walks, lots of historical interest, pretty villages and good places to eat.
The aga cooker was a talking point! never used one before so was pleased to have an electric kettle as an alternative! The owner had kindly left a bottle of prosecco, but there were no tea bags and the little village shop close by did not sell them. The shop owners kindly gave my husband a handful of their own tea bags, so advise you to take your own tea and coffee. We still had a lovely time!

Glad you enjoyed your stay and managed to make friends with the Aga! I don't supply tea bags as they tend to go off and taste stale. It is lovely to hear though that the shop owners supplied some - the people of Eyam are very friendly and accommodating.

“Lovely cottage in a great location”
Reviewed May 8, 2017 for a stay in May 2017

Eyam is a lovely historical village. The original plague village, with wonderful stone cottages and a beautiful church.
Lots of lovely walks with fantastic views.
Three bears cottage is charming with everything you need, and the aga was home from home. The beds comfortable the shower could have been a little more powerful but it worked.
I would definitely recommend this cottage

“Terrific cosy cottage”
Reviewed May 16, 2016 for a stay in May 2016

What a gem. Lovely little cottage, perfect for exploring the Peak District. Excellent host who provided us with loads of information about the area. Eyam is a lovely little villlage with interesting history. Sheffield nearby makes it easy for shopping. We thoroughly recommend this cottage.
