“Cosy cottage, lovely location, superb spa bath! ”
Reviewed April 6, 2017 for a stay in April 2017

Doesn't the title say it all?
I ground the cottage very easy to book, with great communication from Paul the owner. The location was spot on for 3 days and nights walking and experiencing the peaks.
Couldn't have asked for more really!!!
Will definitely aim to return if exploring the area some more.
Thank you so much

“Everything you'd need for a comfortable stay”
Reviewed March 11, 2017 for a stay in March 2017

A fantastic stay at Silk Cottage. Great location for exploring the Hope Valley, with its spectacular walks and stunning landscapes. The cottage itself is on the edge of Eyam village and is very well decorated throughout and is very well equipped with absolutely everything you'd ever need.We loved the spa bath and the great views from the bedroom/sitting room.

“Lovely stay for a weekend”
Reviewed January 6, 2017 for a stay in December 2016

We had a lovely weekend away in the cottage in December. The location was fantastic, a short walk away from the local shop and pub. We visited the local area and Chatsworth house which is only a short drive away. The cottage itself was beautifully cleaned and the fire made it extra cosy. I would thorougly recommend this cottage to anyone!

Thanks for a great review. Just to make it clear to anybody thinking of booking the cottage the fire is a coal affect GAS fire - all the benefits of an open fire/woodburner, without the mess and hassle of lighting it :-)

“Perfect Location”
Reviewed October 2, 2016 for a stay in September 2016

Just returned from a week's stay at Silk Cottage with my partner, perfect little cottage in an equally perfect location. The cottage is really well equipped, from central heating, wi fi, soundstream hifi and dvd player to innumerable maps, leaflets and books to keep most people happy. It is arranged with the well equipped kitchen and bathroom with spa bath on the ground level, and king size bed with lounge/tv upstairs, taking advantage of the views. Eyam is a lovely historic village with a pub, tea shops and National Trust property in Eyam Hall so worth an explore. We used the cottage as a base to tour around the Peak District visiting the lovely towns and villages and also do some walking. The parking is tight but manageable and the neighbours are very friendly, taking care of putting the bins out on the correct day. All in all a lovely stay in a very well looked after property, can thoroughly recommend.

What a lovely place!! A great place to set up to go and explore the Peak District. The cottage has everything you need for a comfortable stay and then some. All the utilities in the kitchen you could ask for, a very comfortable lounge/bedroom and wifi as a nice added feature should you need it. The spa bath is a little touch of class!! The owners communication is brilliant, even taking calls when they were abroad! They were very welcoming to questions and very flexible where they could be. Yes, the parking is a little tight but more than accessible plus the neighbours (who are golden) came straight out to help if it was needed. The village of eyam is great, has all the things you need to enjoy your stay & the local pub does a great steak!! Will I be going back there? Absolutely!!

“5* cottage, great stay!”

Absolutely loved our 3 night stay at Silk Cottage, easy to find and get in. Heating had been put on prior to us getting there which meant it was warm on arrival! Very comfortable cottage, owners clearly take pride in keeping a well kitted out holiday cottage. Comfy bed, kitchen had everything we needed, plenty of OS maps and walking guides, fast wifi, TV& DVD worked perfectly. Impressed with the jet spa bath, perfect after a long day out cycling. No problems parking, just pulled in forwards and backed out. Eyam was a great spot to be based, plenty of circular walks and cycling routes. We had very good coffee and cake at the Village Green tea shop. Booking our next stay here already!
