We stayed at Glan House for 2 nights over the bank holiday weekend for a walking holiday. Our stay here was superb, in fact it was perfect. Chris and Patrick were very welcoming and extremely friendly. They welcomed us with excellent Welsh cakes and tea which was great after a long drive. The directions were spot on and there was plenty of off-road parking available in the drive.

The room (Fishguard Bay room) was perfect. Spotless, heated tiles in the bathroom, a great powerful shower, a very comfortable bed, excellent decor, fresh milk for tea instead of UHT, and great sea views over Fishguard Bay.

Breakfast was excellent, and much better than many other B&BS. There was a choice of cereals, juices and fresh good quality yoghurts, as well as a full Welsh breakfast of bacon, eggs, sausage, tomato, mushroom, toast, tea or coffee and a selection of jams and crossaints (although we had no space to fit the latter in).

I really enjoyed chatting with Chris and Patrick who are really nice and provided us with great recommendations for local restaurants, walks and sightseeing which we took them up on and found they were excellent recommendations. They also provided us with a good walking book and walking poles, and even arranged table bookings for us at the local restaurant.

I travel a lot for business and pleasure and I stay in a lot of hotels and B&Bs and can honestly say that Glan House is at the very top in all categories and one day when I go back to Pembrokeshire I'd love to stay there again.

(P.S. I accidentally clicked on the swimming pool rating (woops!) but there is no swimming pool but TripAdvisor does not allow me to unclick the rating, so just ignore that rating!)

Room Tip: We viewed the other rooms as well, and all rooms were excellent.

We have stayed at Glan House five times which is a recommendation in itself. Each day begins with a superb Aga-cooked breakfast. Everything else about a stay there speaks of quality and attention to detail - things that can only be achieved by unstinting effort and thoughtfulness. Chris and Pat obviously have one clear objective: that guests should enjoy every minute of their stay - a stay which starts with a plate of hot Welsh cakes on arrival and ends with the last mouthful of another wonderful breakfast.

We had to be in Fishguard on Friday and decided to make a weekend of it - and glad we chose to do so at Glan House. This is a fine conversion and restoration of a former pub and makes a very comfortable base. The room was excellent as was the breakfast - Chris and Patrick obviously have a very good butcher. As hosts they couldn`t have been more helpful, putting out shoes to dry and booking a table for dinner at the Golden Lion in Newport prior to our arrival. A very hospitable stay. Thank you

If you are new to the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park Glan House is a fantastic base. The location of the B & B is ideal, particularly if you are combining public transport with walking. We were immediately immersed in the views, the wildlife in the gardens and surrounds and the peace of it all. This former hotel/B&B has been thoughtfully transformed and the rooms are smart and impeccably clean. You are assured of a very warm welcome - I can only concur with other visitors that nothing is too much trouble for your hosts who are very keen to introduce newcomers (or returners like me who benefit from revisiting an area they took for granted..) to this lovely spot. The B&B is on the main road between Newport and Fishguard but the traffic is not excessive and there is absolutely no traffic noise inside.

Room Tip: Room 3 had lovely views out to the sea.

A lovely room with sea view, thoughtful attention to detail throughout, superb breakfasts and most importantly our welcoming and friendly hosts. The comfort and individual needs of their guests is clearly at the heart of everything they do here and we couldn't have been better looked after from start to finish of our three day stay. Thank you so much once again Chris and Patrick!

I had a one day stay, whilst attending a conference. The hosts made me very welcome, provided the use of their broadband. The room was on-suite with TV. Breakfast was excellent - although I requested an extra not on the menu, it was all provided cheerfully.

Room Tip: All the rooms seemed to be of similar superior quality.
