Just back from a delicious dinner at this coastal(ish) pub. Staff very friendly and all seemed happy in their work. Service was good, food delicious despite our reservations at the start that the menu was a little restricted. We agreed at the end of the meal that the menu is modest but brilliantly executed.
Husband had the chorizo and quail egg scotch eggs to start - nothing fancy looking when it arrived but tasted amazing. He had the sirloin to follow, beautifully cooked and tasty, whilst I had the pan fried chicken and succotash which was also fabulous. We shared a lemon tart for pudding which was creamy and light but rich all at the same time.
We will definitely be returning here soon and recommend a visit - and booking a table if the full dining room by 8.15pm is anything to go by!More
