“Great hospitality in a perfect setting”
Reviewed July 5, 2012

After a month travelling in Greece we felt this was the best value for money hotel we stayed in. The rooms are very clean and comfortable, with nice small touches like a built in washing line on the balcony, complete with clothes pegs. It's these small touches that set the Adonis apart. Stamatis and his family go out of their way to make you welcome, always on hand to answer questions and his Mother's home made jam is the best. We are keen walkers and Stamatis took time out to drive us to the start of a fantastic track which led us up an old marble path to Koronida village, the highest village on Naxos. The beach at Apollon is lovely for swimming and there are good tavernas. Happily it is spared rows of tourists shops and captures the magic of Greece at it's best.

We had a lovely stay at the Adonis, Stamatis and his family were more than helpful. The rooms are nice and clean, and it was nice to get a double bed. The area is very calm and peaceful. It is a long drive on windy paved roads to get there but worth the trip.
Beautiful quiet beach with plenty of nice resturants in the area as well.

My wife and I stayed at the Adonis for just three nights at the end of May 2012 and found it perfect for us. The resort is fairly small and everyone was so welcoming.
Our host, Stamatis, did everything possible to make our visit so enjoyable and we were made to feel like part of his family. He even gave us a guided tour of the kitchen garden just 50 metres from the hotel where his father was growing crops for the hotel.
The hotel is very clean, well decorated, and located in a very peaceful part of Apollon, yet within one minute of the beach, tavernas, and lovely views.
A highlight for us was sitting in one of the quayside tavernas during the late evening drinking wine and ouzo, and watching the fishermen sorting out the nets and fish on the road under the streetlights just a few feet away. What a perfect cabaret!
We hope to visit again, but would definitely want to stay for much longer.

I have had the pleasure of visiting Adonis hotel in August 2011 with my family (2 adults 2 children). We stayed in the hotel suite (2 connected rooms with two balconies) for 4 nights. The service was excellent, the owner very accomodating. Perfectly clean and peacefull, the ideal resting place. The village offers everything in a small package. You can swim in the central beach, have something to eat a few meters away at a very good price and get back to the hotel when you are done for some rest, all within a few minutes walking distance. I even forgot I had a car until the day I left. If you do own one however this is an ideal starting location if you want to visit several areas of the northern part of the island, such as the villages of Apiranthos and Moutsouna. Greatly recommended.

Room Tip: the owner will answer to your needs.

A lovely village and a perfect bay. The sound of the waves on the beach, which you can hear from the room, is still with me weeks later. The balcony was perfectly situated for morning sun and evening shade. The rooms are clean and bright. Stamatis and his wife make you feel very welcome and are extremely helpful - with language, with hiking information, everything. A perfect tranquility. I wish I could have stayed longer.

My wife and I had a week in Stamatis' lovely hotel Adonis Hotel in June 2011. We loved every minute from our stay in Apollon, The hotel owner Stamatis treated us like family and cooked local Greek meals for our dinner every night. Apollon beach and village is quiet and away from the busy tourist islands. We would highly recommend staying at Adonis Hotel and visiting Apollon.
