Description: The Rising Sun is located in Hampton Hill, a small town on the north-west side of Bushy Park in south-west London and dates back to at least the 1870s. The current owners, Mandeep and Ravinda took over the pub in May 2015 and have sympathetically re-styled The Rising Sun to bring into the 21st century, while maintaining its orginal Victorian charm. We offer a delicious menu of traditional pub classics, ensuring great value for money for the whole family, plus a full traditional roast every Sunday and homemade curry nights on selective dates. We have an elegant function room, enabling us to host a wide range of special occasions like baby showers, family get togethers, birthday parties, wakes, weddings, corporate parties/dinners and Christmas parties. We hold regular events, such as our Wednesday quiz, Friday Karaoke and live music, open mic, sports events.

We took the grandchildren here for Sunday lunch in the Garden Room. The food was excellent. A very friendly, helpful barman. The icecreams are delicious too. Roll on the next time!

Passed by at the weekend, had a really nice sunday lunch, great value for money and home cooked food too.
The service was good even though it was very busy.
Would definitely recommend.

Since moving round the corner in the summer, I've popped in to The Rising Sun on the odd occasion for a cheeky pint. Went twice this weekend when it occurred to me that of all the pubs in Hampton Hill (and there are several) this has everything I've been looking for in a local. This isn't far off your common-or-garden traditional pub (sadly, a dying breed) with the exception of a more homely interior décor replacing the ubiquitous theme of dark wood and tired upholstery.

Landlord and staff are welcoming, friendly and attentive. Greene King ales are kept extremely well and there’s a very good rotation of guest ales to keep beer drinkers interested (lovely drop of Old Hooky on at the mo and St Austell’s Tribute and Timothy Taylor's Landlord have made recent appearances). There's a good range of reasonably priced wines sourced from the local, well regarded vintner and the most refined crisp and nut selection going. Haven't tried the food yet, but looks good and in an age where pub menus are becoming increasingly pretentious and over-priced, The Rising Sun seems to have got the balance just right serving classic, honest favourites (not a coulis or velouté in sight).

This is what a pub should be with perhaps only a dartboard conspicuous by its absence. It’s doing a good job of serving an eclectic community - you can even buy your Christmas tree from an affable fellow in the garden and they’re reassuringly less expensive than those peddled from the local garden centre. A highly recommended destination on an autumnal walk through Bushy Park for a well-earned pint and a pie.

My wife & I lunched here on the weekend, its a great little pub and you get the feeling it's family run (it probably isn't). The staff are all friendly and the food wasn't too bad either. I'd recommend it and I'd return there again, it is also a dog friendly pub :)
