We (a 60-ish couple) stayed for 10 days at this property, whilst in the area for a family reunion. It's an older, converted, property that is tiring, its condition not assisted by the sea air which is part and parcel of its beachside location. It needs some care and attention, for example, showerhead is cracked, and water flows copiously from back of the showerhead. The WC needs a plumber to fix the continual water running.
The sole lightbulb illuminating the steep and dark stairs leading up from the front door was not working for our entire visit - the landlady was aware of this but didn't organise for a tradesman with a tall ladder to fix the issue. Also, I don't find it acceptable for 240v permanent cabling to be run across the sitting room carpet, without plastic conduit. The fuses blew twice during our stay.
To her credit, the landlady checked at time of booking that the access arrangements (steep stairs at both front and back) were OK for us. The stairs would be unsuitable for anyone with mobility issues.
Location is good, if you are looking for a simple, quiet, seaside location. Car mandatory.
My family and I stayed at Island View for a 5 days at the end of June, we had a lovely peaceful stay. Taking walks along the pebble beach and cliff top, enjoying the ice cream parlour across the road and the Cliff House was a great place to wind down and dine in the evenings.
We also visited a nearby sandy beach at Highcliffe, the house there wasn't worth visiting (2 rooms of red brick) but the beach is a definitely must if you are in the area.
I spent a long weekend with my 5 friends at the apartment , it was very clean & was well equipped with everything we needed , we ate in a few times & enjoyed an Italian & a Christmas themed evening , we had 3 cars between us & we had no problem finding safe parking places . We enjoyed a breakfast across the road at the Beachcomber cafe & walks along the cliffs .
The main bedroom with the bathroom is perfect for a couple but not so private for friends as the bathroom is in the bedroom , I will say that the mattresses were very comfy . The flat is very good value and in a fantastic position , well worth a visit .

We stayed here for the last week of the Summer holidays, the apartment was easy to find and well located. The rooms were clean and spacious with the two main bedrooms having amazing view of the Isle of Wight. We had lovely evening walks along the beach which is just across the road as the sun was setting, truly stunning. My only negative would be that there was no ironing facilities and some of our clothes could have done with a re-iron after being in cases for many hours, apart from that no other negatives at all. If you book to stay here you want be disappointed.
Aside from some very minor issues this is a very comfortable, clean, well appointed accommodation with no damp. The decor is modern and tasteful. You get a clear view of the Needles
and the Isle of Wight.
The beach is just across the road but is very stoney.
Only issues are the back entrance isn't clearly marked, no placemats and the bedroom door doesn't shut.
Would recommend this accommodation wholeheartedly.
