“Lovely holiday property”
Reviewed October 2, 2016 for a stay in September 2016

We had a great time here in Tuscany, the property is ideally situated for visiting the area, just about an hour from Siena or Florence.we were privileged to be invited to have lunch with Marusca,Gianni and family, a wonderful experience. Would certainly return when we visit Italy again.

“Tuscany - a place to return to”
Reviewed October 18, 2015 for a stay in October 2015

Little Love Nest is a spacious very well-equipped apartment - perfect for a couple. It was very clean and comfortable, and decorated with many warm touches. Kitchen and laundry facilities make it very self-sufficient, although we wandered the villages so much we didn't make our own meals often. We were there in October, and the weather was a bit cool and rainy, so we weren't able to use of some of the amenities, such as the pool and patio and barbq. Marusca and her family were very helpful and welcoming, and were in quick contact if we ever had a problem or needed information. They take pride in their holiday home, and want you to have a great vacation. Tuscany itself is a wonderful region to explore, but you really need a car to take advantage of seeing it. We loved our time there, wine-tasting, strolling medieval villages, and savouring traditional Tuscan foods.

“Really great holiday property with very friendly and considerate owners.”

This is a highly recommended holiday apartment that has undergone a good quality renovation. Little Love Nest is one-bedroomed and on the ground floor. The apartment is very well thought out with a lot of attention to detail, which includes simple things like clothes pegs, an airer, good quality kitchen utensils and also, unusually for self catering, toiletries in the bathroom. The white goods include a fridge-freezer and a washing machine. Overall the apartment is very spacious and cool without the necessity for air conditioning even on very hot days. Add to this a welcome bottle of wine and also a selection that can be purchased if required and paid for upon vacating the property.

The bathroom has a nice sized shower cubicle and the bathroom cabinet has illuminated mirrors, which is very useful for both shaving and applying make-up.

The bedroom is also spacious and has a very comfortable king sized bed, unlike some other places where the owners have installed two mattresses pushed together and advertised it as a double bed. There is plenty of hanging space and drawers for clothing. The bedroom has French doors leading onto a terrace with a table and chairs for two, at which we ate all of our meals.

In the spacious courtyard there is a triple swing seat, tables and chairs. This is where we spent each evening with a glass of wine, enjoying the warmth and sunset.

The swimming pool is very well maintained on a daily basis. The fenced off private pool area includes a large gazebo and sun loungers.

Further to the attention to detail of this property is that there is covered parking for cars, which during hot days was a real bonus and something we have not found at any other self catering property.

The owners, both of whom were very welcoming, friendly and considerate to our needs, without intruding, spoke very good English and were always happy to chat with us about the property and the area. As part of the really warm hospitality we experienced, we were invited to dinner at the family home which is 200 yards away.

Our experience of holidaying here for 10 days is one that we shall remember with great fondness and very happy memories, both of the property, the owners and their parents. Really wonderful, happy and welcoming people. We hope that we can return.

We recommend this property very highly.

Marusca and Gianni were very friendly and gave us a lovely welcome. The family meal was an absolutely lovely experience with 3 generations. A genuine Italian meal with really lovely people.
The area is beautiful and we enjoyed our trips to local towns and especially the medieval historical centres of the hill top towns. The nearest town of Arezzo is lovely and only 15 mins away.
The weather was very hot, which meant we didn't travel too far, but we did drive to Sienna, which did not disappoint.

The apartment — the lower level of a recently reconstructed traditional Tuscan home — is lovely and spotlessly clean with a spacious patio dotted with cultivated plants and cacti and a sparkling new swimming pool, which we found really refreshing after all-day sight-seeing. The kitchen is well-equipped — we enjoyed many home-cooked meals (and Tuscan wine) on the patio. The bed is comfortable, the linens are clean and fresh, the matching bedroom wardrobe pieces are beautiful, sturdy family heirlooms, not IKEA. The bath room has all the amenities plus ample cupboard space and lovely, detailed tile work.

A pleasant walk past vineyards and olive orchards takes you into town and easy access to grocers, restaurants, and a friendly "townie" bar in the center that made us feel welcome even absent a common language. We especially enjoyed Jair, a friendly and traditional Tuscan restaurant/pizzeria — several times!

There is a lot to see and do in a one-hour driving radius: we visited nearby cities Arezzo (ten minutes away), Siena, and Florence; and explored a lot of towns and villages, including Lucignano, Cortona, Passignano sul Trasimeno, Castiglione Fiorentino, and Borro, each fascinating in its own way. To visit Florence, we parked by the Arezzo station and took the train. We also spent some days just lying by the pool, sunning and reading.

The hosts are among the kindest and most thoughtful people we have met. They made our two week vacation at “Little Love Nest” special.
