“Great resto in Ile-Perrot~”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 7, 2013

Been a favorite since it opened up a few years ago - chef Derek never disappoints ! Chic ambiance, great service and food and now open later on weekends for lounge style evenings. Weekends are pretty packed so best to reserve if you want to go during prime time (7-8pm).

“An intimate and quiet hideaway”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 9, 2013

The restaurant with approx. 30 to 40 seats and a wide bar is iocated in a shopping centre on Don Quichotte Blvd. THe ambience is a decent modern black and steel furniture. It is quiet and the service is attentive and not obtrusive.
The menue features a good choice of baked mostly French Canadian cheeses as well as typical North American fare.
The wine list is not very impressive . The wines are overpriced.
The food is not cheap. The steak tartare was very well spiced . The salmon perfectly prepared. Vegetarian fare is not exciting.
The bill for four people with a bottle of Argentinian white wine came to $ 123.00
The personnel although French Canadian spoke excellent English. Ample free parking.

“Possibly one of the best meals I've had in a restaurant.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 6, 2013

Party of four for dinner, we all absolutely enjoyed our meal yet can only talk for myself. A starter of beef carpaccio sliced paper thin, served with mesculin salad , cheese and aioli was mouth watering, entree of linguini with prosciutto, mushrooms in a wine cream sauce scrumptious. Le Douanier cheese plate served with olives and baby grapes to finish off the meal was excellent.

The total bill for 4 came to $258.00 excluding tip, I consider this reasonable as it also included 2 cocktails, a pitcher of beer and 2 bottles of wine.

The service was excellent and the atmosphere quite cosy and chic. The only reason I did not give this a 5 star rating is because we made reservations 2 days prior for 5:30 p.m and were told that we would have to vacate our table by 7:45 p.m. as they had reservations for 8:00 p.m. Should they get a cancellation we could stay later. This was understood and we booked as planned. All is fine until we arrive and the hostess greets us very pleasantly and across the way we hear a lady at the bar hollar out that we have to be gone by 7:15 p.m. Really, I thought this to be really unprofessional...at least have the courtesy to come over and let us know this...not call this out in front of the other patrons.

Nevertheless, I will definitely return, we only vacated the table at 7:50 p.m., went to tell the bar lady before leaving that all was delicious and ask that she call us a cab. All ended pleasantly and looking forward to our next meal at this little gem of a restaurant in Ile-Perrot.
